Yup.. i totally agree.. they r not very responsible.. c the way they push the blame to our main contractor hor.. will agar agar know le.. where got they presume our main contractor will tear down the roof swee swee for them to install de? to get our main contractor to remove the wardrobe in one of the room.. which he is not doing any wardrobes etc in it.. already gotto pay him liaoz.. where got such logic.. we pay wellmax.. and wellmax expect our main contractor to do their dirty work for them? illogical and irresponsible.. And they did come for site visit prior to all installation.. to take measurements etc.. so they already knew we stayed at 14th floor.. as a boss, mark should already knew the risks involved before he took on this job.. rite? so it is really lame that he gave us such Bulls**t.. Anywayz.. me and poh agreed that we r not going to pay wellmax for the roof.. though we still going to pay them for the windows and grillz.. and we r not going to let them touch the roof anymore.. really dun c the point.. I would say they has make our sweet renovation journey into a nitemare.. ^^ .. I dunno abt eric though.. seems like his reviews is good.. though he is part of wellmax too.. so... the judgement call is ultimately the consumers ..

Actually.. yesterday Poh told me.. mark called him yesterday afternoon.. and say he will continue the job.. provided we pay for the new materials.. Poh said NO.. then he said how abt half.. lol.. Poh gave a firm NO again.. then mark says oki.. then he is not going to touch the roof.. lol.. i guess ultimately.. it boils down to $$ .. does he mean wif the increase $ , he is willing to put his workers at risks again? if the reason he gave initially is high risk? wat load of crap.. zzzz...

Marks says he is not going to touch the roof anymore.. and is just going to leave it as it is.. so i dunno wat poh is going to do abt it.. to get another contractor to change the roof.. or find another way to go ard it.. cos of the way the corner is "cut" ard the HDB box.. even if we shift the roof slightly higher above the box .. there will be a "square" hole on the roof.. and water is going to fall like no one business.. hehehe.. can use a pail to collect free rain.. wahahahahahahha..

Sad.. better not make us pay... zzzzz... i just got back from the house.. cos meeting the HDB officers there to take a look at one of the HDB piping.. it has corroded.. then we realised.. The way wellmax fixed the roof.. they actually cut a "square" by the side of the roof and install it ard the HDB antenna box.. and the space is so tight.. that the HDB guy says gotto do something abt it.. cos the next time when they do servicing or if there is any problems wif the any of the units below us, they will have to come up to open up the box.. zzzzzz... so i think the only way to go abt it is to dismantle the roof again and reinstall another roof above the box.. gave us double headache now that the renovation is going to complete soon le.. haiz.. Then c this pipe below the roof? Mark just left it like this .. the cement below is along the roof.. is hacked like unevenly.. it is like a half-F**k job done seriously... it is not patched up.. i dunno if yeak is going to help us to patch it up.. haven't talk to him yet cos now we still thinking of wat to do wif the roof.. zzz...

Our EM reno costs us abt $39k .. which includes hacking, flooring, tiling works. painting..rewiring.. plumbing..kitchen cabinets..wardrobe etc..

Oh.. zzzz.. i didn't know abt that..will check tomolo when i go to wait for the HDB guys.. haiz.. can only imagine how disappointed Poh is lo.. cannot see his starry starry nitesky le.. lol

Latest update on the roof... Mark installed the roof today.. and it is not wat we wanted.. When we signed up wif susan, we clearly said that we want clear, light green (matching wif our windows) polycarbonated roof.. she said oki.. last week, Poh sms mark to remind him that we want clear, light green polycarbonate roof.. so that was 2 reminders given.. This is wat we got : which is not see thru.. and is dark .. Poh refused to accept this and he called Mark.. mark says he is not going to touch the roof anymore ( as in he is not going to change the roof for us ).. and he is going to leave it as it is.. cos he said he just realised today how dangerous the job is for his workers to installed the roof .. and he is not going to accept any roof job in the future.. to which Poh agreed wif him.. since they dun have the expertise in changing roofs, they had better leave that job scope alone and just concentrate on changing windows/grilles/gates/doors etc.. The end conclusion.. we are not going to pay for the roof.. cos it would be unfair for us to pay for something that we dun want.. Mark agreed. So he is still going ahead wif the windows grilles and wrought iron gate.. and we will just pay him for the windows and grilles.. Haiz...

Some updates.. Roof hacked.. some debris still lying ard at home.. though mark says will get his worker to clear it out.. then this coming thur, they will install the roof, window grills and wrought iron gate.. on fri, Yeak says will do acid wash.. today should be the last day of painting.. then carpentry works will start.. hehe.. going to get the furnitures to be delivered on following monday.. hehe.. SOOOO EXCITED^^ Yesterday spent the whole day wif poh painting our staircase.. hehe.. fun work^^ .. now still got traces of white paint all over me.. hehe.. at least there is something in the house which is personally done by the 2 of us.. wahahaha.. sense of accomplishments.. ^^ My search for Bridal shops has started.. Met up wif 2 BS on sat and sun.. today got another 2 more to visit.. afterwhich i think i should be able to make up my mind le.. hehe..
