  1. I never do reno before, so dunno what is the benchmark for carpentry works From my point of view, this is not acceptable for "custom-made" quality. If I want something so poorly done, might as well go IKEA buy and do myself, at least if it's a job poorly done, I can still accept it coz it's not as expensive as what I was quoted for this set of carpentry works. Is this carpentry quality considered acceptable??
  2. Not very nice to say in public forum, but definitely not Ah Wei....
  3. Poor carpentry. Heard from bodo that the carpenters came in today. Excited and popped by our place a while ago. Was quite disappointed with the quality of carpentry. 1)Wardrobe wasn't done to what I drew for him..duh..what's the point of drawing then 2)Specifically wrote i wanted frosted glass...also not inside 3)Told in person I wanted the railway track, also never do 4)The cupboard slots also differ in the numbers..and their location 5)Mirror...I not bothered liao, all I wanted was something to slide out, dun need to do a partition, that one at least I can overlook 6)Top cabinets, i didn't want to have the partition so I can put bigger stuff..but that's not that important also Most importantly, there were gaps between the cabinets..I thought if it's supposed to be "custom-made" it should fit well? Upper & lower cabinet also totally out of alignment. 1 word..flabbergasted... Haven't seen the whole TV console..looks okay so far Happy with most of the things so far except for the carpentry...disappointing...
  4. hey freddyprince, Looked through your photos here and quite like ur tiles selection. do put up more photos, will be nice to see the transformation.
  5. I've got the medium size one. The largest is too big coz my guest room would be over-powered by such a big ball, but smallest would be insignificant. So settled for something in between.
  6. Hehe I also liked the glass too. Very versatile. I hope the HO is end of this week...delay 1 week liao
  7. The glass guest room with our ball ball light next to dining Main facade with warm light/white light Please feel free to drop any comments.
  8. Kitchen task light/downlight Dining lights/warm light/white light

Lot of work done today, but still a few things that needed follow up Our toilet bowl came wrong size though the packaging said the other size. Main doors came, glass doors all up, painting all completed (except for gates), lights almost all up, grilles back from painting etc MBR rainshower/warm light/white light Common toilet downlight/normal light
  10. Oh really? Then it's okay. But we're doing something with light illumination behind...do u know how long it will take?
  11. Oh ya, one more. Our MBR vanity cabinet. Still awaiting our mirror leh...
  12. Hi guys, Not much action today, but managed to take a few photos of my place without the mess (well, mostly) Solid surface up already, first layer of paint downstairs, paint completed upstairs The cost of the sliding glass is $7200, but this is subjected to changes, based on your actual measurements
  13. Okay lah, it's definitely not small, but there's always room to get bigger...keke Built-up is abt 1200 sq ft but remember some is allocated to the porch. Nevertheless, I'm pretty happy with the size. Don't want to end up a Maria of a enormous house..
  14. hi booy, I think as a typical female, we are hard to please & be completely satisfied I won't complain if my place look bigger than what it can be if I don't have to pay for the space Just use visual effect like painting Anyway, another picture of my darling
  15. 16. Hi Reiki, I also can't help smiling when I look at her pictures again and again. She's really innocent in this photo...nap right after her meal. I think my computer's full of her photos now...and videos too. Dunno if I can upload photos on photobucket though.
  17. Yeah, Bella does look slightly different from when she was a baby. Whatever breed she is, we love her still... You can check out the rest of her siblings at http://www.doggiesite.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=64151
  18. hi preciousjam, Thanks. You can see more of her in our photobucket, where you can see updates of our reno process too. http://s727.photobucket.com/albums/ww276/p...?albumview=grid
  19. Yeah, she's a character. A little lazy, but very clever puppy. Learns commands really quickly, but will do only if she feels like it. She's probably a lab retriever. We adopted her as she and her siblings were abandoned while she was only a few weeks old. If don't really know how old she is but when we first had her, she was estimated to be 6 weeks. Now she's probably close to 4 months old.
  20. dear friends, I know renovation is a very stressful process (if not, u guys won't be discussing about stuff so often..hehe) Therefore, I will propose that we take our minds off the inanimate hollow blocks, lightings, laminate and paint colour for a while. Please enjoy some photos of our little bundle of joy, Bella. She's the centre of our lives (besides our house which is on reno now, of course )
  21. Happy for u You get to fulfill your dream of having full mirror after all!
  22. halo, the electricians came and in the process of settling the wiring portion. We selected the doors, window frames etc Oh, the glass specialists came and took measurements last last saturday already. Supposed to start last friday but didnt come.Hmm, they should be busy installing shower screens to rush out some projects for Uncle Soon. Hopefully they will do it tomorrow.
  23. Thanks thanks...quite difficult to draw in MS Words, but thought it was quite mediocre. I'll be having sliding doors, hopefully the carpenter allows me to have 2/3 mirror, 1/3 laminate. Ours is an L-shaped wardrobe.
  24. Went back today to check out on the progress of the plumbing which was happening yesterday. Quite satisfied, just lack of installing all the things we bought today (WC, sink, mixers etc) Common toilet sink & tap as well as the instant heaters are up: MBR mosaics are completed and bathtub & piping are in place. But the ventilation window wasn't the one we wanted, so gotta change for us.
