heh heh...not really too low...it's higher, just that the front panel makes it appear too low...it's another good 15 cm higher, she just looks weary coz she's still not adjusted to it yet...plus they are doing road works now and it's quite noisy..so she's quite afraid. Yeah, I applaud ah wei for that...in the future, surely get him to do my stuff...good customer service

interesting update... yesterday ah wei came over to rectify some of our carpentry things...our doors spoilt liao..can imagine that?? the "tik-tiak" door spoil after a few uses. Ah wei commented that he would never use something like what was used in ours. He's using something which is $3 each and personally, I do feel that they are much more solid and won't spoil so easily. Ah wei was professional and didn't commented on ah di's work. But he just mentioned what he would have done in our case...he would also have added laminate to the back of our TV console, which ah di didn't do. He had a look at the kitchen and said that he would also add 2 pieces of the soft-closing device per cabinet rather than 1 which ah di gave us...All the more I'm disgusted by the quality of ah di's work ah wei did this out of service and said he didn't even get paid to help us this time as it's somebody else's work. Additionally, met up with uncle soon yesteday..he told us he no longer using ah di...coz he's causing his reputation to be smeared...ah di messed up 3 reno jobs and uncle soon even got scolded ++ by one as ah di delayed his part for a long time. Uncle soon also mentioned that his quality of work is poor and unacceptable...so stopping his work is a wise move in my opinion...

honeymoon was good! But hor..wind too strong, didn't manage to go to Phi Phi island But we did quite a fair bit of kayaking and was quite fun. didn't really expect to see 3000 year old cave paintings during the kayaking. lots of food..too much thai food, now i'm quite sick of it...need to get back to normal food liao According to Alan, cannot do in one piece...well, that's according to him. I didn't get 2nd opinion. But they actually wanted to do 2 pieces, with the centre right in the middle of the hob...a bit duh...coz i told him, splashback purposely to prevent oil splashing back mah, how can have the joint right where the max oil spill is...duh... I'm not a big fan of the laminate initially, but now...they seems quite okay

It looks kind of weird because it's a sliding door and it along the inner track while the 2 side doors are along the outer track... Thx for everybody's well wishes...it's 4 am in the morning and I can't sleep!! Gotta wake up at 6 anyway

hi gorilla, some answers to your question: - glass panel supported from the top with the metal beams that's welded onto our ceiling - never tried carrying the glass, dunno how heavy...but i think it is relatively heavy...10 to 15kg?? - so far easy to open & close, use 2 hands lah to prevent the panels from swinging - have securing latch on the floor, but the holes are not too obvious - no build in tracks on the floor, all top-track - glass won't flip once you latch down on the floor, dun think it's light enuf for the wind to blow & sway Hope this helps

hehe..he used to be the main "poster" on this thread then me just "ke chuan"...but recently coz he busy also plus he leave all the design of the carpentry to me mah, so i got more opinion to post... i usually let bodo do the talking to uncle and alan, but this time cannot tahan i also :fire: liao...one time jialat jialat... me never talk, i'm also not sick cat...(p.s....maybe sick puppy )

true lah...i think no matter how good everybody is... contractors are still businessman...sometimes still have to smoke us a little...we forumers are not stupid pp..we know when they smoke, just dun go overboard loh but if the smoke PSI 20, okay lah..if the PSI is 400...then a bit too much liao..keke
-
haha...no lah...i'm okay lah i really dun care if he smear my name or not..coz nobody knows me..keke but then again...for him to do this once...there's always possibility he will do this again everybody beware.. I also chin chye one lah..so many flaws i also overlook liao yesterday saw the splashback, they over-cut, then can see the lines, i also never insist alan change.. i also not very ba dao one..just that this guy is too much lah

Hi storm, (nothing personal by the way) =) Duh...he was the one who "forgot" the frosted glass loh...if it was to be done later...a laminated board wouldn't be in it's place liao..if you check out the photo, the drawers on the left, the shelf should be frosted glass and not laminate. Now according to Uncle & Alan, to make frosted glass, he'll have to dismantle the board to put the glass and disfigure my wardrobe doing that...siao ah..if he so good at his woodwork, should know this mah..waste one laminate board then waste time dismantling it and then after that install the glass....super duh What kind of excuse is this..not up yet. Obviously he forgot about it and now have to DISMANTLE to do the glass, not just PUT ON it. Wah lau..my surname not Lai...the whole conversation yesterday he was the one being most defensive..haha..still say dun want to defend... Now that I hear this from you..I have another opinion of him liao...now whose the one being accused...duhhhhhhhhhhhh Just dun like pp spinning stories..if i'm at fault, I'll say I'm at fault... But never mind, he'll have to redo mine by hook or by crook...
-
it's okay, it's a free forum, anybody can post in this thread
-
Haha..I will keep you guys updated...wah, this time he will hate us to the core liao lah..now that the whole RT knows about our problem with him He better redeem himself now before people start rejecting him...
-
Mine mine!!
-
totally agree! if they take one step back, we also take one step back loh!
-
mm it could be that he has a number of workers too. And he was defensive when Uncle confronted him, even when it's not completely his fault (but his worker's) cos he doesn't want to redo... mm but I'm glad Uncle is very firm. true lah, but just apologise then we can discuss loh.. alan also said sorry his workers hacked wrongly, then after that find solution loh... pp do things wrongly one mah...just that we'll be hot for that moment, but still can work around it mah
