Mr K fr Ideal house was highly recommended in this forum sometimes ago...but seems like he got very busy after got many refer cases from here.. now that another Kenneth fr ideal design studio seems to be very popular here... im still at the house hunting stage...

went for a few viewing around 83x/85x/86x. still prefer those block right opp the MRT, ard ur block. good location. too bad really not many seller there. so hard to get a unit there. sigh....there was a unit selling at ur block 2 weeks ago. saw the ads in the paper but when i call up. it was sold the day b4 alredi!!! how's ur renovation going? or moved in alreadi? any pics to show? best, qii

i attended the seminar last yr. very informative and pack with info. of course it spends a lot of explaining the HDB regulation, different scheme available, grants available, eligibility for both seller & buyer. they provide notes on different scheme, the buyer checklist & option to purchase form for ref too. different topics presented by different HDB officers and also cpf officer. (on financial planing and calculation). u can also clarify you doubt during the seminar. however, like one of the presenter said, he himself transacted thru' agents when he bought his house, 'cos some agents wanted to deal with agents only intead of direct buyers to earn comm. (co-broke), this will limit the availabilty of seller to DIY buyer. after few mths of searching, most DIY buyers will give up and go thru' agents instead. happy searching for house!

there is a hdb resale seminar conducted quarterly, teaching u the procedure and things u need to know in buyng & selling resale flat. quite informative. but according to the hdb guy, he ended up going thru agents himself, as the afford and time u put in may not worth it at the end of the day. also, ur choice are limited if u do DIY, cos most agents prefer to deal with agents only in order to earn comm thru co-broke. they do not entertain direct buy/seller....

didn't know there are agents now willing to accept 0.5% comm....when do u start negotiating on the agents' comm? what happen if u like the unit but reluctant to pay that 1% comm? there is a web called propzee.com, paying 50% of seller comm to buyer. but too bad not many seller there now...so a bit heart pain to pay 1% agent comm nowaday

finally the website is up hi fondue, tks for ur comments. it looks like opp units are better choice then. am open to those units opp mrt now. visited a fren house at blk 833 recently, very quiet surrounding and quite convenient. but lately not many units there selling. valuation r still above 300k... do u hv any views from ur house? any other things to share when choosing for the 'perfect' house... did u get a property agent? any advice is appreaciated cheers! qii

Hihi am looking for 4A HDB around Khatib MRT. am staying at Sembawang now. Not familiar with Khatib area. Would appreciate any advices/ views on a better location around that area??? Was looking at somewhere near MRT like block 801-811 but worried if the noices from MRT disturbing? At the opposite of the MRT, have more amenities but may not be convenient for my old folks to climb the overhead bridge.... Any views are appreciated!!! Thanks you very much!
