  1. Bind are usually cheaper though it also depends on your requirement (amount of light it permits etc). For cheap ones, you can try IKEA. They're not bad.
  2. You can just install the metal plate (without the 4 stands), then get someone apply some plaster to cover it so that it looks like a wall. Still can remove if you want to in the future.
  3. why not consider using black decal to cover the glass door. can protect as well.
  4. I think its better to seal off the gaps with silicon too..
  5. Isnt WD40 for removing corrosion? More for metallic parts?
  6. Any DIY store such as Home Fix have them. Nowadays even those neighbour hardware also sells them. If you want to save the hassle, get the wireless type. But actually, changing it is quite easy as what the bros here mentioned.
  7. Agree with the bros here. Suggest you engage the pros to do it to save the hassle and the mess. Somemore you can ensure they do a gd job. if you do it yourself and do it wrongly. Not only you need to spend more effort/time, you need to spend more money too.
  8. Richard from pin pin plaster. Very friendly and reasonable price. http://www.pinpin.com.sg/
  9. Glass door? PD door are quite reliable and space saving.
  10. I got a philips HTS8140. Reason is because its neat and nice looking. My living room isn't that big so i think sound wise, it provide just the right power required. No problem with playing cheong dvd though.
  11. I bought my aircon from parisilk. They engaged a third party contractor to install for me and did quite a good job. The insulation they provided was also the better grade (where GC had to top up to get). The service and response from parisilk was also very good.
  12. I also find LED lights to be too dim... In the end, you might have to get more to make them brighter.. Overall still have saving??
  13. IMO, i think LCD is good enough. Affordable and the newer design are quite nice and slim. Like what some of the bros here mentioned. It all depends on your budget and your requirements i.e Full HD, HDMI, 100/200Hz... But looking at the models you're looking at, seems like budget wise you're quite loose haha... I would recommend you get the LG LED though between the 2 models. I thought LG tv are always quite value for money and their LED tv design is quite nice and 1 of the cheapest in the current market.

    Acrylic Mirror

You need a coating at the back but it wouldn't be as reflective as a glass mirror
  16. I think window cleaner should be able to do the job. If your window frame turn yellowish (if that's what you meant by using white coating..), i think there's pretty much nothing you can do. Unless, you wanna paint it.
  17. I'm using the 3M picture strips too. Pretty good to me. Quite reliable and that's why it's more ex than others haha..
  18. Yup. Definitely must add soap water to the glass door before applying the decal! After scrapping out the water and bubbles, just leave it to dry : )
  19. Call Richard from pin pin. Very nice guy and reasonable price. http://www.pinpin.com.sg/
