I just got a philips bagless. I was surprised the suction is actually stronger than my previous bag type even though the power is supposely smaller. Only hassle is to clean the container inside.

I had an aircooler once too. Not good at all. When you test at the stores it feels good cos there's aircon in the stores! I also find that buying a powerful is better though i think those metal blades kind quite dangerous those the gaps in the metal gilles are bigger. Take extra care especially if you have young kids around.

No cd-rom/webcam, you need to carry/buy additional external components if you need them. Hand can be quite tired after holding it upright for some time. Need to buy stand if you want your hands to be free. Else, leave it on your lap and strain your neck after a while haha... Great graphics and performaces. Lots of apps. Fun.

Saw some nice looking TV console at IKEA which has a "lobang" at the back for your cables to run through so that when you push the tv console against the wall, the cables are hidden. You can check it out there : )

IMO it is a messy job with hacking of the wall and the hassle of ensuring the cables are not tangled when the tv is turning... I think there is no problem connecting to DVD, Cable TV etc, but not sure how you're going to get your remote to point at them since they'll only be pointing 1 direction. Unless, they turn together with your TV... Bracket wise, i'm quite sure those bigger home fix store should have them.

Lights and grilles definitely have to go... Flooring if can afford, change to those white shiny type to make the room seems brighter. Like what the others said. Decide your theme first.
