Fengshui Ba Zi Different From One'S Ba Zi?
gnolard replied to AutumnIsa's topic in Geomancy/Fengshui
This is a good and correct explanation. In fact, this is also used for 四柱八字. If u look at 通书, it will tell u the exact time of the cross over. Commonly know as 节气日. Take for example this seven month, the actual cross over is at 初八. -
hahaha.... definately an interesting theory that i have heard so far.... Ok.... let me share some light in this topic.... people had asked me whether it is true that bed should not face door. well... theoretically, it is ok for bed to face door. So why people say its not good? Thats because there is a deeper meaning to it. Posture is impt also when u are sleeping on the bed. Traditionally, when people carry any corpse out of a door, they will go out by leg first. meaning leg facing door. so this is considered as inauspicious (nothing really to do with FS but more of a chinese tradition and definately nothing to do with 走光). so its better if u sleep with ur head facing the door instead. Well, as time goes by, this knowledge is lost...and ended up with bed facing door is no good... I hope this helps (still, im facinated by the 走光 theory... =))

what is regarded as a child's birth? Head out? out by how much? 1cm or 2cm? Do u think doctors will be so precise? There is a teaching though that is taught to gauge the child's birth (Pm me if u interested to know)... Ironically, the beauty of Bazhi system eleminates such guess also as the interval of time is 2 hour. As for caesarian, well.... there has been articles on this issue and different arguements (again) arises. Some say it is not natural and hence deviates... while others quoted multiple examples to back up the system.
-
But without entering, u wouldnt know isnt it?
-
Sad to say, no system (that is commonly known) is 100% accurate. Use bazhi as a guide and not something to influence ur judgement. Eventually, u are the master of ur own life and not some system or FSM.
-
There are tons of arguements out there with regards to such queries and as it is a form of stats, there are bound to be people who will challenge the conditions and the results. I can only say if u want to drink the wine, learn to appreciate the taste rather than finding fault with it. else... dun drink it...

I already explained. Technically, there is no such thing as same time. So no two life is 100% exactly the same. However, based on a certain formula (ba zhi), we are able to classify certain people into certain groups with similar pattern (hence the divination).
-
My share on this issue. 四柱八字is a form of statistics. Base on certain sample size, the creator is able to classify certain groups of people under certain characteristics. When it comes to stats, there is no such thing as 100% accurate as it depends on the sample size and the condition of classification. Talk about the 2hour interval, one may ask how many people are born in the same 2 hour and do they all share the same fate? My answer is no. Its not because the system is not accurate. but rather the sample size is not wide enough and the condition is not stringent enough when the creator came up with the formula. It does have certain accuracy, but it is not perfect. So how can we ensure 100% accuracy? To answer this question, lets look at current science on time. How accurate can we measure time? down to 1 sec? millisec? nanosec? It is thought that there is no baby on earth that is born the same time. How is this possible? It is becoz we are limited by our existing technology that we are unable to be tat accurate and hence unable to do a more stringent classification. So does that mean that those people who "believe" that measurement down to 1 sec (or 2 hour) accuracy is stupid? Bazhi is not a super secret art nor a fantastic divination system. Every system have its own pros and cons and there are different schools that develops more stringent conditions to this art. Example 子平八字, beside tian gan di zhi, there are also 十神, 合化 etc to add more stringent conditions to add more accuracy. 100% accurate? no such thing (just like those stock and share system. Got people earn money? yes. people lose money? also yes). As a guide, it is ok. I studied 八字 to appreciate the art and i do not regard such appreciation as "stupid". So.... Appreciate the wine as it is and not wat u expect it to be. I rest my case.

generally, there are no FS elements to such practise but rather more towards superstition. There had been practise like rolling pineapple and shout "huat ah!!" which represents luck. Some will bring along some 发糕 to represent "huat". When its comes to FS, people are more concern with the day for renovation and day for moving in. Hope this helps.

Ur head is position facing the door or ur leg?

In term of FS, cannot comment much until ur place is audited. its the same as today u ask in term of FS, is it bad to place the dining table in the toilet? FS depends on location according to auditing. In terms of practicality, U might want to reconsider your options. Imagine today if an FSM tells u that it is very good to put ur dining table in the toilet, will u do that? Hope this helps.

Hi Garywu, reflective films is used to "reflect" any bad landscape facing your building. Exactly what it is being used for in your case, u might want to ask ur FSM again to confirm. However, such reflection are not recommended especially we are living in HDB where we are surrounded by our neighbours. Imagine what will happen if ur neighbours decides to install more reflective films to 'reflect' u back. If its really for bad landscape (形煞), consider other options like a thicker curtain or a blind. It will work as well. Hope this helps.

What If The Sw Sector Is In The Toilet, Any Advice?
gnolard replied to tanny's topic in Geomancy/Fengshui
Hi Tanny, perhaps u had read somewhere that such facing is no good. My view, FS is not so simple as in just taking a general direction, claim that it is no good, and try to find all sorts of method to try to 'salvage' the situation. In most cases, these so-called prob facing are just general guidelines to tell people that it might pose a prob and if u are interested to find out more, to contact a FSM and see if it is really the case. So far, toilet are not top in my list of where actual prob exist. Do not be too uptight about it. However, u mentioned u had seen one FT (is it a FSM?), can u share abit more what was being mentioned? -
Agree totally. Authentic FS discuss about two things. 峦头 and 理气. One is about exterior landscape, second is about time. Both are super important. I rest my case.

Hi Bepgof, I wouldn't say the fundamentals got problem. Rather the fundamentals are not specific enough which left some grey areas. Well, i would attribute this to different schools different teachings and traditional chinese will not teach the students everything (somehow this is a 'bad' asian practise). Simple question like how do u determine 宅向? Different schools got different logic and till today, such fundamentals questions are not answered. As for 八字 and 紫微, the 2 hour interval pillar is definitely too long a gap which i think so too. There has been theory that the interval is much lesser and therefore used to be more accurate but along the way, the method was lost and deteriorate to the existing 2 hours.
-
Hi Piko, u are 2/3 right but u lack of one area and its not the toilet. Usually there are 3 main things which FSM will emphasis. There will always be flaws with all homes. As long as these three are good, the minor ones like the toilet should not be a deciding factor.
-
Hi Schizoid, You're most welcome. I learn the art in hope of doing good to more people as much as i can so no worries. Anyway, Perhaps u can ask him how did he determine the toilet as bad and why there are no remedy to it. Try to ask him abit of his considerations and share it here so we can all improve on our knowledge as well. As there are different schools around, there might be considerations which non of us here know of. Thanks alot and hope to hear from u soon.
-
What makes FS interesting to me is that it creates room for ingenuity and ideas. FS is not fixed and one who understands the fundamentals behind it, can "play" around it. Unless it is really really very lousy, else i will always come up with something for my friends rather than saying it is "helpless". I understand how tough it is for houseseekers to finally find a place they like, and the worst thing is for a fsm to say that this house is not suitable for anyone to stay. So, any remedies to your prob, definitely yes. However, since u already engage a fsm, i will recommend u stick to his advise all the way and try not to mix advises. Alternatively, engage another fsm and ask for auditing from scratch and see whether he has got a similar "challenge" for you. Hope this help.

There has been alot of misconception with regards to this. Traditional FS practises never take such dates into considerations. No such thing as ghost month no good. As long as the date is auspicious, suits ur birthdate etc, it is good. Consult ur FS master and ask him to recommend accordingly. If the date is good and it falls on a ghost month, get a discount from ur contractor instead. I hope this helps.

Never heard of. 三为震,四为巽. i know and commonly used as well. This is according to 后天卦. Common in XuanKong. This is true. Fire mouth is known as 灶门. Not so much according to BaZhai but according to 阳宅三十则. Which is applicable to BaZhai and XuanKong. Make a guess? =)

Traditional chinese use charcoal to cook. Modern people use gas. Now people switch to induction. Is there a difference? No. Its all generating of heat to cook. Dun worry too much with the numbers as it is not that significant when we talk about stove.
-
The number of stove on a hob can be used to affect the location's qi. There are no fix number but rather changes according to the location of the hob. Anyway, These are minor changes and should not be too worried. I would recommend u worry more of your stove's practical usage (2 stove enough or with a baby, maybe u need 3?). =) There are more impt things to worry about with regards to a stove and its definitely not the number on the hob. Hope this helps.
