  1. My hse is done by Ideal Hse 2 yrs ago too. Everything's still good. What do you mean by going haywire n falling apart? Sounds awful.
  2. You refering to the last 3D rite? That's a cabinet for all the things I cannot stuff into the study and storeroom... Shoe cabinet is the smaller one at the side, with the white backing one. My husband got more shoes than me... I'm those 1 pair of sandals can go everywhere type. One thing I've learn, having a bigger place not necessarily means more storage space, cos storage space have to be created, i.e. $$$ to make/buy shelves/cabinets. When packing to move hse, realised that my humble 4-rm actually kept over 80 cartons worth of things for me nice nice. It's a great place, hope the new owners appreciate it.
  3. Yeah, already living in it for a fortnight. Unpacking and tidying every waking hour, while trying to jagar work also. Who knew we got so much things from a 4-rm? Will update pics likely late Jul, give me some time make place look decent b4 taking pics. By then think your hse also almost done. BTW, Lynn go back M'sia again izzit? Sms her yesterday til now no reply leh. Dun wanna bother her if she's on leave.
  4. A month already lor, that's why we called her since no news. Before she was the one checking with us when to deliver... We're wanting to order computer chairs from them too, waiting for the catalogue supposed to come with this shipment one. Now using foldable plastic chairs cos my hubby didn't wanna move the old computer chairs over.
  5. Congrats ptbgal! Finally starting your reno & t-blog. All the best with your reno.
  6. Can't comment yet, cos they still haven't replaced my parts yet. Called May and she said she dunno when the shipment coming cos her husband didn't inform her... Gotta postpone my housewarming.
  7. Long time no update. Found rectification works to be more time-consuming than actual reno. Tells you that if everything done siu siu, will save you lotsa frustrations... Anyway, here's the 3D for the extra cabinet in living we had to comission due to not enough cabinet space: It is being set up now actually. Will post pics of the house once packing is done. Place looks like logistical warehouse at the moment...
  8. Hi mitlancer, congrats on moving in. I just moved over the weekend and place looks like logistics warehouse...
  9. Look at the bright side, you will have more time to source and prepare for the renovation. Instead of having to rush deadline finish everything b4 certain date.
  10. Thank you. We hope so too. We didn't think of the risk initially. But shouldn't be a problem as we seldom on aircon and even then only for a couple of hours to cool down the room. Our current aircon right above our heads and the wind blowing at our feet, quite stupid.

    Wall Decals

Saw some at this shop in City Square: Hommy. Also sells lotsa arts and cutey stuff.
  12. Yah lor, else will be right above our heads also not good right? Anyway the trunkings all in the room behind. Basically installed it where the previous owners did, only their bed was right below it. The purple laminate from the Jennings catalog.
  13. Just had my things delivered yesterday. Gotta agree with yokoyoko. Good service, but really you get what you paid for. The items not expensive, similarly quality not very good. We bought a dining table with steel legs and black glass top with patterns. The steel legs quality really don't look good. The black glass top patterns looks like hand drawn or something, not even, and smeared at the sides, really unacceptable. The wife was good enough to replace it for us although the QC is not their fault. Advise to to just get plain tops, nothing with patterns to avoid this problem. Our coffee table which I really like after seeing a similar one in IMM, it still looks good, but the workmanship... Ahem, one piece of glass panel after one of the delivery guy accidentally kicked into it, cracked when the drawer hit the floor when they pull it out to assemble. They'll replace the broken piece for us. But now I'm worried about the glass so easily fall off and crack. Some more looks like the glass panel was stuck onto the sides by heavy duty tape? The coffee table was bigger than I expected, so quite easy to walk into... yokoyoko, wondering if we bought the same series of furniture. So now we have a dining table without top, and 1 missing drawer panel in our coffee table. These can only be replaced by their next shipment end of June... Although also wondering if order from like shops in IMM, will we be getting the "real deal" or the same items at higher prices?
  14. Hi nobody, welcome to the EA Kakis. Hope your problem with your agent will resolve soon. Blue pearl for flooring har? Just a warning that granite is very reflective ok, that's why the nice nice granite floorings in MRT stations all "blurred". Waste of taxpayers' money...
  15. Carpentry was up. Problems went up too... Most glaring upon entry into house: Unporportionate TV console Totally not following given measurements. They will be rectifying this by adding another drawer under the suspended shelf to even out the porportions. Hope it looks ok. Upon closer inspection, our anticipated foyer was not according to design: In the 3D, it can be seen the slants are "slot" into the seat. However, ID said carpenters said support not enough, so made the slants so fat, and there goes the design... ID will look into making it look closer to original design. Wardrobe is generally ok, but they laminate wrongly the panel below the TV stand. Should be continuous stretch of purple: Also, see my aircon not centered? It was installed according to the center line given by the carpenters themselves... Now cannot be helped. The worst shock of the day. Saw my 3D of the study above? We were so looking forward to full stretch floor to ceiling shelvings. What we got: There was a beam there, which we totally didn't remember as previously it was totally covered by previous owner's wardrobe. Nobody inform us we'll be losing the storage space on top. If we had know, we'd have put the bookshelves on the other wall, and the study table below the beam instead. We've at least 20 cartons of books and files for these cupboards... Now I have to commission another cupboard somewhere in the house to ensure we have enough storage.
