My floor tiles have been completed yesterday .. Jason told me they will do waterproofing just before laying the tiles. Just have to take their word for it since they are the expert Next up, correcting the L-Box in the living area and installing a new L-Box in the master bedroom. TV feature wall length corrected, left a small whole on the floor tiles but already patch up 2. Master bathroom tile wrongly .. had to call ah soon and tell him, hopefully it gets corrected tomorrow keeping my fingers crossed no more mistakes!! xxxxx xxxxx

Yup, brandt is about 1050 or so. For ariston, the basic entry levels are cheaper. But if you want self-cleaning, two-three layer glass ovens etc, then it is 800+ There are other brands like rinnai, hobz, cuzino .. i think it is cheaper if you buy as a package with the hood and hob?

For the oven, what is your budget? I am eyeing the Ariston or Brandt one ..

Nice house you have there .. looks like your reno is quite close to completion? Regarding your living room, notice that you have L-Box with ceiling fan in the middle. Is it dim in the middle where the fan is? Can share how many downlights you installed and are they 2x13w or 2x18w?

Some of the rectification works may not take long, but maybe the flooring (esp tiles) may be troublesome How many weeks did you give ah soon to complete your reno? If you are not in a rush, then maybe can wait one more week? For us, we only give him 5 weeks but now a bit worried whether can complete in time or not

Just a update on the progress .. Hacking has been completed. Aircon piping done and the living room walls has been plastered. Ah Soon told me they should start tiling tomorrow, but when I went to check earlier, the water proofing not done yet? Is this normal to do water proofing and tiling on the same day? Today two guys were doing a box up for the tv feature wall, and they made it wrongly - instead of 4 inch thickness, it was more than double. It was also 5 feet instead of the 6 feet we wanted, had to get Ah Soon to tell them to change it. Looks like we need to monitor the progress closely ..

Uncle told me this saturday i can view a few house with carpentry leh .. so yours now delay to next sat is it? Curious what you mean by the false ceiling too low? I thought I read in the ceiling fan thread that you are doing L-Box, now change to false ceiling ah?
