fondue, is yours installed by ah soon or the pd door specialist? our common toilet one also not very smooth even after rectification, now they have taken it down. hopefully tomorrow after they install a new one, it will be smooth

For the kitchen cabinet, mine is split into 2 items: 1 for the carpentry, 1 for the solid surface. The soft-closing is included as part of the carpentry, unless you choose blum Hope this helps

I cannot say for certain .. since I have not actually use it on a day-to-day basis. Has AMK Ivy use it for long? If yes, then can share what kind of problems? We top-up for PD doors because it does not have the bottom track for easy maintenance. Seems like there is not many choices without bottom tracks out there

Hmm .. the one in my MBR toilet is ok. But the common one was a bit flimsy, I am not sure if it is a installation problem or what. The joint portion broke on Sunday, so I have requested for Jason to get it fixed. Are you doing PD doors too?

Just some updates... After Jason fly my aeroplane for the whole of saturday, I finally managed to talk to him about the defect list late this morning. He managed to carpenters to get my kitchen cabinet problem fixed today! yay!! Today Ah Chong was there to redo part of my MBR laminate flooring .. he also had to remove some parts and level the cement based because it was really uneven at some parts. Hopefully it will be completed tomorrow. My kitchen sink is still 'stucked'. Jason say he will fix it himself .. but looking at how busy he is, I really wonder! Pending must do items (before Friday) 1. MBR laminate flooring 2. Kitchen Sink 3. Common Toilet PD door 4. Installation of solid surface in MBR toilet 5. Fixing the switch for the exhaust fan 6. Cleaning of MBR and Bedroom2 windows (still not completely clean no matter how hard my brother-in-law scrub, the rest are all shiny and nice) 7. Cleaning of flooring Other miscellaneous items, if they can be fixed, it will be a bonus

I hope they will do it for you. When they hacked up my kitchen, I also specifically told Ah Soon to cover my kitchen cabinets, fan, etc etc to minimize the mess and he said ok. But end up, the workers did not do it. There were dust and debri everywhere. I can even see a lot of dust and debri inside my sliding door (sandwich inside the wall) during my cleaning last Saturday and Sunday. There is no way to clean them up and so I have to pretend they are not there.

Wendy, Sorry to hear about the saga(s) and pain you had to go through. Thanks for sharing, I am reminded to go and cover my shelves and etc in my MBR when they are doing my corian top. Jason told me he was cleaning someone's house till 1am, so it was yours. The oily floor is on the ceramic tiles? My living room is a bit like that now after the guys clean it last saturday and since then I have mopped it a few times. I can't mark the areas for grouting or filling up the holes with masking tape becos they simply won't stick!

Thanks Angel. My tiling was finally completed on Thursday. The kitchen now looks much better. My handover has been delayed from 9-May, 13-May, 16-May and now 21-May. My move-in date is 23-May and there are still a number of things left to rectify .. I just feel so drained after spending my day packing and on my knees cleaning the floor, during which I find some defects. Then, the electrician told us the dining lights were not working (not again???!!!). Then, we also found the kitchen sink seems to be stucked (water draining quite slowly) The laminate flooring guys supposed to come by to rectify my mbr laminate flooring but never turn up. When cleaning the kitchen cabinets, also found some parts of the joints not properly sealed with pvc On hindsight, I wonder if we have made the right decision .. especially when I can't sleep at night

Thanks, I feel a bit better today, no point making myself unhappy about things beyond my control. The new owner wanted us to move out earlier if possible leh .. so how to extend? The hacking is completed but uncle say they'll do the tiling tomorrow

Ya, I was quite sure that ah soon will fix it when I saw the tiles alignment. He also agree that his reputation is on the line. He says he should finish it by tomorrow. Kudos to him for taking responsibility! Just that it is the delay is causing some anxiety and concern .. my move-in date cannot be delayed and I really want to finish everything before we move in. Not to mention about the inconveniences, costs etc (to ah soon, myself and my neighbours).

Hmm .. your dateline is also quite tight. Hope that your reno will be smooth smooth .. When is your targetted hand-over date? Are you moving in on the actual hand-over date? My targetted handover date was last weekend. But with these kitchen tile problem and some wardrobe issues, it is being delayed till this weekend. My move-in date is next weekend. This cannot be changed becos I need to handover my current place to the new owners after that.

This morning I called Ah Soon, remind him to come to my house to check the tiles in my kitchen. According to my hubby, Ah Soon took a long time and was very quiet and serious looking when he look at my kitchen floor tiles. The verdict is to hack out most of them and relay .. I don't know what to say .. should i be happy becos he also feels the quality is not good. But I feel a bit heartache la, so many tiles.
