  1. All the best to you. Just gonna to keep watch over their workmanship. My previous renovation I took the same from my cousin, however, things doesn't turn out to be what I expected. Lousy service and attitude.
  2. Hi rolexboy, Between the 11k and 19k, you might want to align the material intended to use, where is it from, dimension and its finishes. Its 8k different! I can put up wall covering for the whole house! For eg, to design a tv console, what is the material use, how long its the console etc. Also, what type of finishes they give it to you. All this has to be stated clearly, perhaps in 3D sketches to avoid and misunderstanding, which most commonly happen.
  3. My thought would be do what is necessary for yourself. Is there a need or want? If you intend to upgrade your house next time, then perhaps don't spend too much on the reno. Save the money for your next house instead. Get those decorative unique furniture items from Space Furniture, Knoll etc. to beautify your house instead. I'm not discouraging you not to do any reno, but if you have spare cash to do, just go ahead.
  4. kewin, are you currently using Square Room ID? From your blog, it seems that the work are pretty proactive in checking the incoming quality of the material. Are the workers from China or Malaysia? Apparently, I'm trying to shortlist which are the IDs are reliable and trustworthy for my reno.
