ya.. takes long time to clean... yday took 3 hours vaccumming living room n the entertainment room cos the feature walls are finally completed. gawd.... no furniture still need 3 hours JUST VACuUM....so much dust! i haven even mop n clean the rest of the house yet 8-3pM? i rather go work... still get paid...lolx maybe i can consider a p/t helper... help me clean windows/shelves n iron ( i hate doing these!). the rest of housework i quite like!

my father is complaining abt how the original hdb grills n windows sux... its heavy n difficult to push out the windows. so i got a quote form PG ( read abt them here, called them and they came for measurement) and was quoted 6100 ( including gst) for a 5 rm flat. ( ALL windows n grills change) except the toilet lourves. quotation was for sliding windows power coated grills with tea color glass. not sure whether its cheap or expensive becos my house do have a lot of windows. 6 walls in total. any other advise on other contractors?

sign... cannot.. very ugly hor? my fren noticed it today and told me its rusty.... wat to do? its part of HDB design. ( sort of blocking out the sunlight) i wanted to use the spcae below the windows to do shoe cabinet but the backing is glass... contractor say cannot.. not enuff space

carpentry work was done today.... thank goodness i was there to monitor the work... cos the color was all wrong.. initially, i wanted red feature wall with black tv console. but on my second discussion with them, i changed to BLACK wall with RED tv console..changed was confirmed by a email of new 3d pictures. Also, my room's feature wall was changed to red & black combination too.. came wood color (which was from 1st dicussion) they had the wrong pics! argh.... Although the stuff were looking pretty good,they had to change for me cos i had this red/black/white theme for my whole house. the contractor rushed out to buy the laminates and did the "rescue-program" straight away. kudos to them for doing so. and heng, they had their tools with them ( a really huge bag of tools and i-dunno-wat-r-those-items.. measuring tools?) wad was supposed to be a full day installing the feature wall turned out be half a day changing the color laminates and fixing the console. the rest will be completed tmr (hopefully no other problems) i told the contractor, dun worry, if wrong wun scold u.. i will scold my id instead! dunno how to post pics.. eheheh... will have to wait for hubby to do so. ( he's the real HanJin ! me imposter)

wow! it sounds really cool! i wanna do it for my house also...maybe d.i.y too... cos i like to d.i.y...hehe heh.. ( me> HanJin's wife) surprise a gal like to do D.I.Y stuff.? wanted to d.i.y painting also but in the end gave in cos dad nag too much n there were too many holes after removing walls. would love to try the lock on my door provided hubby approves n ok with me fixing it..wahah

wow... i been looking for them since last nov. price was then ranged from MIN $500 370 i would say it's a very good buy. want to get a digital lock soon cos house will be ready in about 2-3weeks time. my hubby actually was put off by the price previously but now... hehe heh... remote control? wat happens if u lose ur remote? but sounds very interesting...great for me cos i always carry a lot of barang barang... haven seen this model yet. hmm. gg to chk out this weekend. where did u get ur lock? Hi..so sorry was busy with reno stuffs lately..bought at $239..

my seller offered to pay rent cos he extended 2 weeks more. wanted 1 whole month but hubby excited to move in so in the end seller paid us 2 weeks rental. by law, the unit is urs already so if they can't move out by then see how long they wanna extend. few days i think still ok.. anything longer than that, ask for rental cos u will be paying conservercy charges, installment deducted etc... remember to transfer ur pub/electricity when they move out. i applied for pub in advance but date i put 1 day after they moved. Unless u can be sure the seller move out by then, don't apply first. it takes only a few days for the application ( i think)

paint is cheaper n u can change color anytime. just re-paint over. u can employ ppl to do it or u can D.I.Y. as for wallpaper, it is more pricy and more labour. if u use wallpaper, make sure u really like the design very much cos its a hassle to change it. must remove glue after peeling etc. however, wallpaper have MANY designs n textures. also labour to paste n remove wallpaper could be quite expensive too.

peony jade restuarant? at keppel club ( restuarant is open to public) under tung lok group i think. pretty good food. nice ambience too. a bit pricy for a-la crate menu but set menus are cheap.

i am now staying on 3rd floor.. no worms so far... will be moving to 5th storey soon. hope no worms too. if low floor got worms tink i got move to higher ground liao. i keep wondering how those worms crawl their way up to 4thfloor?

how? did u ask ur neighbours below ur unit whether the have the same problem?
