hi all, i'm planing my wiring works at the moment and i understand that my contractor is recommending underlying of the wires (i.e. before you put the tiles you actually put the wires in the small PVC trucking then put the tiles on top.... so that it will look nice but i'm worry.... has anyone done that before? is it approve by HDB? and what happens if next time the wire burn or spoil? how to change? really v lost... please help...

i think so.. really be careful of them. they will keep telling you that have a big factory in china (pic of it is in the lift) but dun believe them. first look you will know its fake. Its like a cheap photoshop job. picture this, the factory pic v blur after blowing it up to a lift lenght but the name of the factory v clear? if you have seen it, you know wat i'm talking abt. cheap job. then everything you tell them they will reply "can do one... dun like this colour we can change.... remember we have our own factory".... lalala.. maybe someone should tell them abt the cheap photoshop job first... hahaha.....

After reading this “interesting thread” I feel that we all engage Ah Soon and Jason not only becos he gives the cheapest quotes but its becos of his sincerely. Yes, He had flied me airplanes before then ask me to wait for his call but he never call me back…. but I can now say that it’s all worth it. (of cos, nowadays he do call me back la.. heehee.. he's a changed man... hahaha) After getting abt 15 different quotes from IDs and contractors, we still decide to use him and I can tell you that he is not the cheapest that I had got for the similar package... Just that BD and I feel that he is v sincere. To tell you all the truth, when I first met up with him (that was abt the beginning of this year when I was getting quotes from IDs), I did told Blue Diamond (i.e. my hubby) that my 6 sense told me that I will be using him. He ask me why, I just said that he is v sincere and he seem like a honest guy… then we even joke that he keep flying us airplane then still gd meh.. heehee.. But I can see the reason now… he just wan happy customers... Well, reno to everyone of us is very important cos we wan to be as prefect as possible cos its a place we are going to stay for quite a while but to err is human... No everyone is prefect let alone our Uncle Soon. heehee.... Smile and enjoy the process of reno..

just to check... those who use ah soon for reno.. did he use Solid Surface kitchen worktop with front profile & back splash for the kitchen top?

i was thinking of that as well but was thinking that it will look abit weird so i did ask Jason to drop by to take a look. he say he can solve the problem by making an opening on the table top then directly throw from table top.... not sure how its going to work but think i have no choice now....... hopefully its not going to look ugly and no "xiao qiang" will come visiting... heehee....
