Hi Preciousjam, What's the color of laminate/tile you've used for the foyer area? Very nice. Also, the light switch next to the main-door, did you have to buy it yourself or it comes from Yeak?

Glad you finally had your HO done. Yours was one the the threads I've followed when considering him and thanks for sharing your honest feedback, helped us alot when we've finally decided on who to go with. Anyway, finally can move in and move on from this, renovation is just a small part of a brand new beginning:)

Your place become multi-story carpark liao, they got put parking coupon or not :P Btw, if you found the sidetables, let me know. Looking for something similar. Saw something like this, but coffeetable, in Mondi furniture (IFC branch)but don't remember seeing the side tables.

Any more feedback about the LG WD14331 washer? Does it have a delay start btw? Thinking of getting this instead a separate washer and dryer since we probably won't use the dryer that often since our flat facing the west side. How's the noise and wash cycle like? Thanks.

My agent also did the buy & sell for me. Buying gave him 1% but manage to negotiate for discount for the selling. If you let them handle both, should be able to get discount. Also see how comfortable you are with the agent, if the first buy/sell and he already gives you problem, you better not retain the fellow. For our case, we only offered to let him sell for us after seeing how he got a good price for us during the buying process.

Been living in Wellington Circle, now 'upgrading' to a step 'nearer' to district 10 Now only need to walk 5 mins instead of 10mins to MRT. May need them to check the household shelter door, abit spoilt, not sure if they'll repair it. Got lots more in the other rooms.... alot more....

Ya, study room also blue, even the wardrobes in the MBR also same blue tone. Will be replacing the false ceilings and add a little cove lightings. Hehe, ya, our reaction was also similar, then imagine our looks when we went to the bedrooms and saw the artists' works... lucky the owners also know and they were willing lower their price to factor in renovation. Yup, everything's going. Even thinking of changing the windows to white powder coated but see the final cost for the reno first. Btw, will it look weird if the living and bedrooms are white powder coated and no griles but the kitchen is the normal brown with grilles? Kitchen windows and grilles are quite well maintained.

Kitchen MBR Artwork.... lots more in the other rooms...

Some pictures before reno: Living room Dining Area

Hehe, we've changed most of the selection liao... Did a quick visit to Hafary on the day we got our keys, managed to select everything within 1hr. Now just want to ask for Yeak's advice before confirming. Will show photos another day, using a slow internet connection, and can take quite awhile to upload pictures sometimes.

Eh... honestly, not too sure. He said he'll apply on the night of 10th June, we'll be meeting him again tomorrow night to show him our tile selection (and try to bargain;) He did say he'll be able to start hacking on Monday and we plan to visit the neighbours on Saturday to PR PR and tell them about the reno noise.

Hi Adrian, When we met Yeak on the 10th, he also said he had to turn you away. He was probably still thinking about it even then. We met him for about 2.5hrs, and his phone was ringing like every 15-20mins or so and he was very apologetic about the interruptions. Workers calling him for instructions, probably people asking about quotations and of course Rondy calling about his paint.... Hope you'll manage to catch Ah Soon airbus soon. Cheers.

The Japanese food in the food court cheap and nice too:) So you've got kaypoh kaypoh and went to check your hacking already?
-
Uhoo! Your place should be starting tomorrow right? Good luck to a smooth renovation

Think we leave there almost 7pm, he said he had a meeting at 7.30pm, must be you. He was there to take measurements to give us a more accurate quotation. Help us tell him to give big big discounts;) Lots of good ideas from him, our common bathroom, he & my wife happily planning the place... more they talk, more ideas they have, told him he can use it as a show 'bathroom'. He's pretty booked till Jul/Aug and has told us he had to turn away some because he didn't want to take too many jobs, to maintain his standards. So those with plans to start in Sept onwards, better book him early, do your price comparisons and if you are keen, talk to him early. We are going to bug him soon again this weekend to help us decide our tiles, shortlisted some, going to ask him for his advice before finalising.

Haha, I also asked them what olive green tiles... It's the brown looking tile but under direct white light, it'll looks a little greenish, just a tiny bit. We still discussing our tile selection, bathroom tiles giving us the most headaches
-
It's one piece, this is just a small cutout. We also quite like this and may use it for the common bathroom too. Still prefer the designs of the matt tiles, nice vrs practical.... :(
-
Common Bathroom Option 1: Bottom and top using the beige stripe tiles and middle two rows using the olive green tiles, horizontally around the bathroom. Mosaic under the mirror, between the sink & mirror. Common Option 2: Wall tiles using the beige tiles and olive green for floor or maybe grey tiles for floor. Mosaic under the mirror, between the sink & mirror.

Our tile selection: MBR bathroom
-
Ask for your opinions, we've more or less finalised the tiles but now having 2nd thoughts. Our bathroom wall tiles all matt type and I have the impression that it'll be harder to scrub dirt off, thus more maintenance needed. Am I right?

Tulips, how come you have HDB repairing your place? Resale flat right? Last time, when HDB's contractor did my cement screeding, they took their own sweet time to get it done, so do look out for that.

Just happen to see this morning was 90ish, so started noticing. So give the 'honour' to NY:)

Just part of the kitchen wall to make a simple counter between the kitchen and living room. He said maybe 3 days to get the permit.

75 f***ing sqm.... and I thought mine was small at 85sqm... but nice and cosy for 2 persons and can clean very easily. Congratulations, Toa Payoh Central, worth it:)
