  1. Shortlisted this interior designer. Anyone have any reviews on this ID?
  2. i stay in a landed and have a condo that i just purchased - it's $2500 to $3000 for either landed or condo..but if the value of the property exceeds a certain amt, the legal fees will go beyond this figure
  3. I may have a 1500 sq ft 3+1 condo that will require a full reno. We are looking to do a colourful retro Panton / Keith Haring / Warhol type theme for the place. I used to have a designer Sabrina Tan from studio fishmonger who did up our 5 rm flat a long time ago (no idea where she is now). We are keen to redo our new place in that same colourful theme. Any recommendations?

  8. the dimensions are about 60cm diameter and 60cm long. The beads are acrylic
  9. That's a pic of the white chandelier that i have
  10. i have a new in box white chandelier for sale if anyone is interested. Email me for pics - jodt@starhub.net.sg Ordered three sets from overseas, now only using 2 so this is my spare - still in the box. Same as the ones that were on sale at Air Division.
  11. No one owes me a living. If my pay / salary has been stagnant over the last few years, I don't expect someone to give me a handout. Singapore is not a welfare state. We have a system built on meritocracy...u r paid what u deserve. In a similar vein, if you have the balls to put millions into the property market knowing full well that another SARS / financial crisis / oil shock can happen anytime and make you a bankrupt, u should be rewarded for the risk that you are taking - high risk = high payoff.
  12. a lower interest rate may not always be better - check on how much $ goes into repaying the principal or goes to interest payment.
  13. Simple law of supply and demand. The fact is that there will be a critical supply shortage of properties over the next 2 to 3 years because: 1. Record breaking number of enbloc sales 2. Influx of foreigners 3. Record breaking number of new properties that will only TOP from 2009. If you are out to make money, buy a property now and flip it by 2009/2010. If you think the price now is ridiculous, it will be worse over the next 2 years. Case in point - the new inter-terrace that i just bought that no one wanted when it was launched in 2006 has just appreciated in its list price by over 20 per cent since i bought it a month ago. If you can't wait, get a HDB property before those start to appreciate like crazy. If you can afford private property, don't hesistate as benchmark prices are being set daily and this will continue over the next 2 - 3 years.
  14. yup - they have very firm foam, medium and soft
  15. u can sell your flat before 5 yrs if you appeal - i sold mine after 4 yrs
  16. the property developer which i just bought a unit from has sold 26 out 77 units and they are raising prices by $30k after every unit sold...and there are still people buying!
  17. This applies to private property. Actually, you can buy low, sell high. Take the profits from selling high and then buy high and sell even higher. Your profits from the first sale is locked in. But of course, don't overstretch for the second property.
  18. Their sofas can be customised - so no need to worry
  19. I've got three Bravias at home 46", 32" and 26". It's a Sony la. When you friends come over, they see a Sony and they know what it means. When you watch at home, u appreciate Sony's quality. When you eventually re-sell it at a garage sale, it certainly will fetch a higher resale price.
  20. Action speaks louder than words...Honour is easier to say than to keep. Me thinks that you should do the honourable thing. It has happened to me before - I had to bite the bullet and move in with my parents for a while. What if you were the 8mth old pregnant lady - how would you feel? If you can't sleep, what about her? Do you want to be responsible if anything should happen to her or the baby? *touch wood*
