There is no reason given for not polishing. I have been hearing "Tomorrow" since 9th June. Just now asked him again he said cannot contact the polisher. I am not able to accept such a lame excuse. If I don't call him, think he will just keep quiet about it. When I was reaching, saw his van moving off and he told me he is going over to your place and another place. So cannot meet me. I don't think that's the responsible way of handover. My initial handover was 3 weeks but I gave him till 29th May then change to 31st May then change to 3rd June then change to 5th June then change to 12th June.

Today really blew my top since no polishing has been done and no HO and I have already fixed with the mover tomorrow morning. Thought this evening I can start washing the floor since uncle told me yesterday polishing done today morning. Went in the evening after work and nobody was there. Was really pissed and gave him a piece of my mind. Last week already paid the movers and spend my leaves doing nothing. Tomorrow also take leave for nothing and somemore need to pay the movers again for nothing. Really sian tomorrow need to cancel my tv delivery, fridge and w/m delivery from two different companies. Really very fed-up and rectification also not completed... Im at the limit and if tomorrow still not complete I will engage another contractor to tie up the loose end with the remaining reno sum

adrian_john: Thanks for the info. But I think I have given up on the hollow. I notice the tiler also repair those that are very serious. The last time I checked at least 30% are hollow tiles, most are at the edges. If need to repair then I cannot shift again. My HO has be delayed many times and I cannot take any more delay. The weekly rental is killing me. If I know that the HO will keep delaying, I would have taken a monthly rental which is cheaper. For the carton boxes, managed to get new ones from a friend's company. Thanks for the info on Giant/ntuc. Just now uncle confirmed that my toilet bowl was damaged, quite sian and he said he will try to patch up. The damaged was at inside the bowl when the water is. Yes the carpenter has some personal problem and he is the one kena F very jialat at your place. Think he very scare of uncle now. Yes polishing will be today. Actually he told me polishing is done yesterday and so I rushed down from work to find that only tiling work complete and some paint touchup. Didn't really went in to check because the worker was mopping the floor. Can check with you if the living room grout got grey colour? I think maybe because they insert chemical and some grout turns from white to grey. Looks quite ugly and I have quite a few.

Zero, please think carefully before you change. If the water piping for whole house is cu and you just installed a section of stainless steel (eg in your MBR bathroom), it is not very good. A littel bit on the technical side, when cu (+) and stainless steel (-) are attached together, cu being less noble will corrode with the aid of an electrolyte; in this case water. This is just like how our battery works. One workaround is to install a intermediate insulation between copper and the stainless steel. So unless you intend to change the whole pipe to stainless steel, do consider carefully if you intend to have two disimilar metal materials.

My old dinning place has rectangular light like yours and need to cut the false ceiling but problem when I want to move the light very troublesome and the patchup also not nicely done. The reason of moving the light is due to the size of my dinning table. Think uncle this few days very bad mood because many things not going his way. Depending on the electrician. My front crystal ball light also the same issue with metal part outside. The shop ppl did tell me that if the electrician is good, he will need to find some support, screw and place inside the false ceiling. If not very good, he will just stick it outside. You are absolutely right, they are porous. Even before my flooring is completed, I already notice some of the grouts have already turn colour. But I think no choice lah, got to live with it. If you want nice without much grout, then got to go for marble. Ceramic tiles got their own set of problem. If there is a chipped, it is very obvious because different colour. So there are pros and cons. If the workmanship is too far off and not acceptable, you can asked for retile.

Pet: Don't angry lah, sometime also depend on individual. I still remember my case when I went down to HDB to expedite some processes. If I don't do anything, they will take a even longer time. So we got to keep bugging them to move things faster. Maybe can ask for the person tel or hp and check with her what time she is coming. If she didn't turn up at the agreed time, call again.

Think you window problem quite serious. I thought Ah Hock quite good. Maybe the worker installing is not very good. Usually his response quite good, can just give him a ring to ask for rectification. I have the same problem and have to be very careful when closing the windows, else the handle will scratch the grille. When moving the grille also have to be careful because it is rubbing against the handles. I do not have any buttons for the lock/knob as well.

Actually just learn that use the white cement and mix with a little water. This is what the tiler use as grouting.

Acetone is quite strong right. Will it damage the shiny surface? MaCe tried on hard surface or shiny surface. Both are homo tiles. Sometime also headache if they come today and disappear next 3 days. If you are not in a hurry then should be ok. Think right now those group that give trouble will not have job from him. Aubrey: Today there is no polishing because there were some damaged tiles and so tiler continue working on the rework. The rework will continue and hopefully finish by tomorrow. Uncle mentioned will polish after 101 place is completed. I did asked about the sharp edges and he mentioned using sand paper of 24 or something like that. Anyway the missing grouting was filled and it is no longer so sharp. Think no need to activate Mr Goh yet. If he comes most probably will give me another long lesson on FS.

Funny thing is that I don't see it anymore. Think the tile has been changed.
