  1. Ivy, ya lor, space planning headache.... we plan and plan so long....... finally seeing the end results, pretty happy with it. If your study area is not long term, just have a loose desk at your MBR. This gives you more flexibility to move things around. hmm.... I thought all kitchen walls are tiled? easier to clean.......
  2. Fannie, nice meeting you yesterday. Glad we can meet. :) From Wendy
  3. I consider U shaped before.... but will be the same problem cos that space there is limited. It is really up to you, if you want 2 doors. cos still, 1 door can be open at 1 time. Unless you want swing door. But again, it knocks to our main door to the MBR. With what we have planned, we are comfortable with that space. Cos definitely can't hack walls to make way for WIW... that's a luxury I can't afford with limited space. As for the study desk....... yes... think think so hard to squeeze a space for it. Cos my other 2 rooms are for my girls and my mom .Where got space for study room??? That's why even my books are out in the dining room 12ft cabinets. I am glad we design it behind that display cabinet. Flowing from the TV console.
  4. You may want to try Royal Franco for WC, sinks and accessories. I find Chuan Heng and Poh Joo not willing to move prices. Royal Franco is a smaller set up which means the boss, Henry makes the decision on the spot to move the prices for you. We check all 3, CH, PJ, Royal Franco.... we choose the same items from the shops. Compare prices. Each of the items were given some discount. But at the end, Royal Franco gave another round of discount. We found it cheaper by $200. Which is a good deal. Moreover, the service at Royal Franco was great. We were confused about fans...... Henry took the time to explain to us and help us choose 1 which is suitable for my weird ceiling. IN the end, I bought heater and fans too from him. :) Yes... Royal Franco may not have the retail space to show you everything, but if you ask "Share me more sinks"...... he is willign to take out from the boxes and show you. Very patient. Check Fondue or PreciousJam blog for the address......... he drew up a map for all 3 places. Very clear.
  5. Bin Bin, Thanks for the feedback. We did consider mounting a normal wardrobe at the same area, but the idea of having a wiw is just too tempting. We trade off the ease of finding clothes with having many drawers (8/10 in total). No sure about the warm because we probably won't spend too much time searching for clothes (sorrie, I can't say the same about my wifey). I will feedback on the practicality of wiw after we move in and settle down.
  6. you will see it, then you get the full picture. BTW, can I change our open house to Friday afternoon (1 May) instead? Like 2pm. cos Sat it is a bit rush for us as my daughter tuition is changed....... due to 1 May public holiday. PM me.... can?
  7. I was there last sunday....... we pick up 2 addtional dining chairs... wow.. i was very impressed with the catalogues. Lots of selection. He recommended a round coffee table...........which look exactly like a OM one. I was impressed........ he said same same. Cost only 200........ in OM, it was 599 or 499........ I am still mulling over that one....... In short, S&C is a good stop. We realise it is cheaper than the Nova, Star, Novena...etc... and they carry prob the same range......... all from same manufacturer.
  8. the toilet pebble wash looks good..... share more pics lei
  9. Fondue, you inspire us to see our kitchen in a whole new LIGHT..... pardon the pun... hee..hee.. I am so going to check out IKEA LED lights.... love how the lighting makes the kitchen so romantic....
  10. Good for you PreciousJam...... :) That's one hurdle crossed........ now buying and choosing stuff..... that's the fun begin.
  11. Wow... your place is a good buy. Smartie sums it up so aptly............. THE BEST BUY in town......... what below valuation?
  12. The interior is a wood grain laminate (slighty grey-brown).......... i've not heard of PVC or Polyken. For WIW, uncle Soon gave us 'colour' to choose from......... my other regular wardrobe in other rooms are made of white laminate (the normal type)..... I mean interiors. Aubrey, the pics show full lenght. Maybe you thought my WIW is like Fondue in term of that 12ft length.. no la... that's a luxury. I only have a L-shaped one.... quite small.
  13. my grandeur of a dream is always far from reality ........ esp when my untidy self takes over. I can tell you the super mess when we move in......hahahaha...... i bet my last dollar it will never be boutiquw style except during the first day of Chinese New Year or day 1 of Spring cleaning. Other than that, the rest of the 364 days will be reality of real life living.
  14. From wendy: I planned it that way. My hubby went "how come got such a big gap/lobang?"... I wanted a gap so that clothes (of different colours) can peep thru the gap.... looks quite nice. Space is not lost cos I can still stack folded clothes to the end (of the gap) Again this is one of my weird vain plans........... :) cannot understand, right?
  15. I guess vanity comes over us and the practical part tossed out of the window. But maybe 1 year later after my reno, I will share the same view. hahaha... esp when my wife got to clean it. :)
  16. We know about the dust problem. But we find it funny to put doors inside a WIW. And the overall look will be really weird. Imagine a door to the WIW and then see doors again to the wardrobe. :) Might as well do a normal wardrobe.
  17. Some pics of my MBR WIW: Finally i get rest well after seeing the colour (Walnut) turn out fine. We like this dark wood colour very much. Inside: we couldn't decide if we want hanging on this portion or just shelves. Ask him to do both. Will remove 1 if choose the other option. The other side:
  18. Wow.... looking great.... the lighting is perfect for your kitchen too.
  19. The track is at the top. I guess you dont need the bottom because the right panel serves to guide the door. If your hubby needs, i can send him a photo.
  20. Wendy: You bought that round coffee table??? Love it... how much? I saw one similar at OM..... 899..... I think we sama sama taste......
  21. From Wendy: i saw 1 round one at ST Louis... very ordinary looking and it was 699...... didn't know coffee table so ex. Then I saw one I really really like....... at OM....... wow 899...... Aiyo....... how? I want a oval/round one lei.... will take my time to search.... meanwhile just use my old Ikea sq table first.
  22. You went Java Enterprises... I want to go! How much the damage? I love the set at the left side.... nice nice colours!
  23. Aubrey, I counted you in already when you first ask. Come come.... PM you the address already. We will be there till 11am.
  24. Ivy, Uncle so sui bian.... very good! You got a good deal. Mine dont even change windows and grilles. Just curious, how much for changing window and grilles. Since our house same same, I like to know the cost?
