XBB, more pictures of the L-shaped areas. There are a total of 3 L-shaped areas. 1) near sink/stove 2) near oven 3) near half island counter top 1) I dont think there is anything I want to do for this L shaped cos it is hard to fit in a swivel corner unit becos of the sink. And the depth of this L shaped is not too deep. I plan to put in my washing detergent, box of washing powders. And it will be just nice 2) This is the part where there are 2 L-shaped areas Close up shot of 2) : this is the one with space 'wasted' but I dont mind at all cos I intend to put in my mom's antiques stuff. Things we just move from 1 house to another and NEVER use. hahaha... so this space is not really wasted... I can at least stuff antique items. Close up shot of 3) This one you realised there is no corner space. hee..hee... I plan that corner space to be accessible via the other side of the counter top. Open up from the other side and I still have that corner space. As for why I didn't install corner swivel units, simple....... I want that column of 3 blum drawers. And I find corner swivel units take up a long length (at least 90cm) ....... I will come back with pictures of where i plan to place my utensils, my cooking wares, my plates... my baking stuff... my tupperware collection etc. Space planning, right?

XBB, this is my sauce pull out. Near the stove. I order this from the carpentry guy. I specifically told him i need a pull out that can hold a 13-14 inch bottle of sauce. I went to measure my mom huge collection of Zi-char style chinese cooking wine, soya sauce bottles.... hee..hee.. just want to be sure. This one can fit nicely. see the clearance of height for that small bottle. Good height. The top part can hold small containers of sugar, salt and corn flour.

Ya.. i also realised 1 forgot to buy toiletries basket.. the stainless steel type. Feel like going down to Jalan Besar.. my fav shop. Royal Franco. Henry's stuff are reasonable. Pet, I realised when working with Uncle.... pictures speaks a thousand words. It helps that someone passed me 1 year of Home and Decor. For every design, I always show Uncle or Jason the pictures "Uncle, can do this".... next question "How much to add?".... Oh.. yes.. it is Grey with some specks.... Aubrey, nice meeting you and your mom. Your mom is so friendly and chatty.....

Thanks Pet...... I designed and planned it around my needs and work flow. So happy with how it has turned out. The original kitchen is a long one... but I needed a separation bet wet and dry kitchen. actually the wet is for my mom... she is old school cooking fan... BIG fire.. Zhi-char style. I usually faint among the smoke. For me, i am 'ang-mo' cooking... pasta, bake chickenm baked fish..... using Oven type of cooking. She always shakes her head when her daughter turned out so Ang Mo in cooking wise. So, technically dry kitchen is for me. hee..hee... the surface top is Corian.........I saw in a Home and Decor mag that counter top material can be 'folded' or moulded to wrap around the side of the cabinet. Esp for half island top like that. I thought that was a nice visual effect.. the grey flowing into the floor. I showed the picture from Home and Decor to Jason and he said can be done! Hooray for jason!

Fannie, I didn't check the corner blum unit. Ivy, sorry... dont know where my tiles sheet went. It is from Sin Lek. But very common.... smooth, glossy white tiles. YOu just call up LSH or Sin Lek. 30x60 tile. Thanks Pet....... that is a little breakfast table, baking area for my kids and I to play. They love playing with flour, dough. Also a place for serving food when I have guest over. That's my most most fav corner of the entire house. hee..hee.. From Wendy

Common toilets ( i have 2 toilets, 1 for shower and 1 for WC and sink) Toilet 1 (WC + Sink) Toilet 2: shower Bi-fold door: Hindsight: I feel the green mosic will look better with the darker (black) tiles... SIGH... hindsight is always the better 'sight', right. hahaha..... i keep in line with the green kitchen tile, flowing into the toilet (a dash of green)... but I didn't want mosic in shower/wet area. tough to clean soap stains/scum. Just my prefernce. I am a lazy housewife.

We have the same light at your MBR. I used that for my daughter's room. Oh.. yours has the 4'diamond'... mine is the simple one. Oooo.. I like that passway light... so beautiful. And I realised we got so things similar. We also bought the Franke sink, tap and Cuzinno hood/hob combi at 699. Love that tap!

Fannie, this one for you! hee..hee.. post my WIW again. My wallpaper CMI, hubby and I may want it tore down. Dont want to see 'chicken pox' on our wall paper.... hiaz..... then just ask Ah Soon to plaster and paint. Simple and straight forward. MBR, WIW: Adrian John & SW80: thanks for your compliments! After months of planning, designing, choosing colours, so glad it came up alright. Was so afraid it will come out wrong esp the laminate sample is soooo small. Xherion: thanks for your comments. Yes.. that feature wall is a wall paper. XBB: let me go over and take more pictures of the inside of the kitchen drawers and cabinets for you.

Cant wait to see your house when it is done. From Wendy

wow... your reno moving very fast! Looking great!
-
It looks good on the drawings.... I like the 'red' toilet.
-
That space looks big. If you have marble flooring, very waste to hack away. But again can't tell the condition from photos alone.
-
Kitchen glass panels are up: Hmm... looking at adding decals there......... so we wont knock into it. Finally I chose grey for the surface top. I like it.

Pictures update: Living room (feature wall): Behind that display shelf is a study/computer table (previously this was the balcony): MBR toilet:

I talked to Uncle today. He mentioned about yours cos I said you are coming over to see my house. He remembered yours as the "private property"(translated to Mandarin) in macpherson. hahaha... that's your code from now. He called me 342 Clementi.
-
Your house looks good!
-
I like that brown? grey stripe tile(common toilet)........ very classy! Nice selection and combi. Hafary seems to have nicer selection... more unique tiles. I like the circle one too........ but not too sure will be giddy
-
That house has been long handed over already........ I think in march when we were still deciding whether to take Uncle or not.
-
I met Uncle at 5+.......... he said he wait at police station for 1.5 hours to record a statement. He is ok now. Not in trouble, I think. Some worker problem. Apples, in fact, I like both of you to come again. Help me inspect. hahaha.... I hope Uncle will do something about my wall paper. I really like what i have chosen but the installation very bad only. Ivy, I think we see the same flat. Whitel wall paper, right. Got texture one. Very drama type. Mine is very very simple and subtle type.

12pm supposed to meet Uncle for handover....... sigh.. he changed it to 4pm. Finally met him at 5pm. Handed over. Actually very simple. Just go thru the rectification list with him and it is DONE! I can locked up my house finally. I told him by Monday his tilers must come in and do the works cos I am going to shift in by next Sat. And my kids dont do well with dust, paints and smell. They can get sick. But tonight we went over...... saw the wall paper in its glory. Very bad job! Must call Uncle tomorrow. Lots of patches and bubbles. Also must thank Apples and hubby for coming over today in the afternoon and extra pairs of eyes to help me spot things to rectify. Then today my dining set supposed to be delivered. I called them yesterday, just to confirm. The girl on the phone said "Yes, yes.. your delivery is confirmed tomorrow bet 11am-3pm". I waited till 3pm.... no sound, no picture..(translated to Cantonese)...... no calls. So I called them. The same girl on the line said "Oh.. yours is 6-8pm, what?"".... I am fuming mad. I scolded her over the phone. I dont have the whole day to wait and wait. And I got to fetch my girl for tuition. Told them to come by 530pm........ guess what......... I didn't hear from them at all. It is now 11pm. The famous company is Montage Gallery..... under the Castillia brand. Tomorrow I am going to shot some people over the phone.
