  4. Hi I guess that a responsible ID does not look at only the reno date but also need to take into consideration the time spent with customer during the planning stages, which might require quite a lot of time (eg perspective drawing, quotes, meetings, bringing customers to view completed project). This means that one ID cannot be handling too many enquiries at a time. I think we have read enough on the forum about ID not getting back with quotes etc so i think it make sense. Yah wet works is starting, but a bit lazy to go and take pics now still surely all messy and dirty haha
  5. To be frank i was a little concerned as quite a few guys asked me for her contact. I was worried that if she had more projects then no time for mine haha. Before I engaged her I did ask her how many projects does she take at one time. She did tell me that she would handle 2-3 (if i not mistaken) at most as she wants to make sure she can deliver what she promise according to her usual standard. So I am quite glad and pleasantly happy to hear that she will pass on some of the queries to her colleagues. However I personally do not know Brian so I cannot comment. However knowing my ID, she will surely only refer to someone reliable, especially if its a referral from her customer. I doubt anyone will refer a lousy colleague to a customer's referral. Cos if her colleague messed up, she might even risk not getting referrals in future from her customers. As ID firm use the same contractor, I guess workmanship shouldnt be a concern. Most imptly is that you have to feel comfortable with the ID you meet and feel that you can trust the ID with your reno. That is usually the deal clincher in most cases as you will realize the quote comparison doesnt make sense after a while.
  6. haha usually its the last or the first one haha
  7. Wall hacking between two bedroom has been approved! Hacking will be done today and this marks the start of the creation of my big masterbedroom
  8. The ID firms are a guideline. Most imptly is the ID that you talk to.
  9. I feel that its impt for everyone to view flats done by the ID before, and observe not only the reno works done but the relationship between the customer and ID. So request to view for previous completed units and perhaps those layout that are similar to your place.
  10. sorry not sure but its in the west if i not wrong.
  11. harvey norman warehouse sale within next 2 weeks.
  12. I think if you are a staff at NW, you should stop posting as well as its not really reflecting well on the company. You are trying to be sarcastic to all that disagree with you. At the same time you havent prove that you are a genuine customer at all too.
  13. around 10 min walk. 2 bus stop before mrt. one bus stop after safra.
  14. old tampines flat thats why. 104sq meter.
  15. i wouldnt mind provided its nice lah. all the best to me too maybe take a look over the weekend. wet works start this fri.
  16. Its a little hard to recommend anyone to you as everyone will recommend their own favourite ID/contractor. What works for them may not work for you as well. From experience, I might want to avoid going to expo as the ID may be less established and need to go to expo to get more leads. I start looking for ID a few months before reno till i give up cos too tiring. my final decision was swift and quick after seeing how satisfied my fren was. its no longer about quotes but more of how comfortable you are with the ID and her/his works with other customer. Most impt is reliability which you can only know if someone you know personally has experienced it. Some forum recommendation also cannot be trusted as they could be own ppl or just fake nicks trying to get business. You can also look thru the t-blog and see the quality of the work done through the pics posted. But frankly you have very little time for a LOT of decisions to be made before hacking begins. http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=24480
  17. hahah from picture nia lah anyway no more liao, all hacked....
  18. You are very right. There are lots of fake nicks around to promote own business. To me an ID is no longer good if they take longer time to respond, cos it really defeats the purpose...finding a good but busy ID. Too busy means no good for your reno
  19. Thanks for sharing. Hence since you are so happy, I am sure you would also generously share with us the picture of your beautiful home.
  20. you can request to visit homes of customers to see quality of work done.
