Actually have to manage your expectation also. I decided to buy own tv console, use pole system for wardrobe. spend less on carpentry. also did away with glass door for kitchen.

I think we need to understand that the time and effort put into a drawing for client, some clients end up using those drawings and engaged a cheaper contractor instead. Its really not fair but then, all of us has a tight budget. Perhaps like pinkpetter has suggested, its better to see completed works and the relationship between the id and past customer to actually have a better feel of things. Sometimes, drawings are even outsourced to a drawing specialist in a id firm so its better to see the real thing and the workmanship. Dun sign up because of drawings only.

actually i do know cos i got a few quotes that has cost price in it cos the id forgot to remove. but then again for every service job, they need to earn also. just like a insurance agent or a chicken rice seller. need a margin of profit.

Yeah I think she is a little packed now but depends on when the project starts also. If not mistaken, she has passed on some referrals to her colleagues and some forumers signed up with her colleagues also.

took a walk at expo and pass by fol saw the furniture, some are sold by other shops also basically the same stuff you find in catalogs of hommages and S&Ks at a fraction of the prices.

well, i guess the peace of mind in the reno and the experience does really make the money well spent then. no need to chase, no headache and no time wasted. dun think i pay that much though also for my id. need to be quite brave to engage contractor hehe..not me.
