Actually if your ID is trying to create a WIW for u , they are right to create a false wall using gypsum boards. For ours its more like normal full height wardrobe in a U-shape to create a room-like feel ......... The laminate backing is to create a cosy feel for my study area. Sure, please feel free to show this to your IDs for reference.......

Hi Brownskinnedboy, r u referring to the wardrobe backing? ...... mine dun consider as a full WIW ....... the entire wardrobe is of solid-ply including the backing ....... Reno cost is in the region of 25k

I adopt this method (1) to get the best deal (2) to save effort from compare item by item. If the price of all 8 items are from different shops, i will be running around alot and may still end up paying more overall ....... In fact, i only went to Courts, Best & Harvey showrooms to see demos & select models. ....... Thereafter, i just sit and wait for quotes to return. The Big Boys must be hating me like mad ...... Hi pbtgal, Please do not get any big items from those big stores. Their price has been mark up alot ..... i got my Philips Sound Bar for $1330.00 from a neighbourhood store. Actually what i did was, i drafted out a list of all the electrical items (brand & models indicated) that we wanted. Some items i list 3 brands or models so that i can select those that i want. Then I sent via email or fax to 5 stores (Big & Small) for them to quote. I bundle all these up and inform these shops that lowest bidder will gets all. All 5 quotes came back and i award the whole deal to the lowest bidder. And their price is $1000 difference from the 2nd lowest. Good tactics right?

Thanks Metalsubzero, our steel pipings are all concealed ...... so our mixers jus need to be fixed onto the hot & cold outlets from the wall ....... Yup, we are using onlu cove lights in the MBR, as the lights bounced from the ceiling will create a very lay back feel...... Our ID Lynn proposed a 2 sided cove light so that we can opt to light up the MBR entrance only instead of the entire room.

Thanks..... i suppose the lighting effect plays a major role in this even thou our deco is very simple ...... will post more light effect for my other areas when done ......
