  1. LOL! No worries. I also wonder about that but then I kia si so didn't do platform even tho I really wanted to.
  2. I read in FS books that there should be space under our beds for the qi to flow through. Something like that. Whether it really makes a difference, I don't know.
  3. Someone told me that a tile shop sells a bottle of chemical which you can apply to tiles to make it anti-slip. I have not gone to buy it. He said it is the first tile shop on Balestier Road when you are turning in from Thomson Road. I'm going to get it one of these days when I'm free.
  4. Has anyone used this company before? Would love to hear any comments. Thanks!
  5. Must vent about Dynasty Travel! I paid up my tour 2 Sundays ago and asked them is my payment all settled and they said yes. Four days after the payment, one of the agents called to say I had to pay for the deviation for my trip and I have to go down to pay. I asked them what is the easier way to make payment instead of going all the way down to make payment and they provided bank details to transfer to which I did on the same day. E-mailed them the bank transaction details and ask them for a black and white. Heard nothing from them so called them for two days for this girl I liaised with but she didn't return my calls. I asked anyone else can assist, say they can't. Everyday I get two or three calls from them chasing for the outstanding payment. Just scolded the supervisor. Told them don't you have a system to track payment? I have already told the previous agents who called me who I liaise with. Why would I default a $250 payment when I have already paid $5k+ payment! In the first place, when I made payment, I already asked if all my payment has been cleared and your girl said yes.
  6. Hee.... understand what you saying about "ghost" writers. At the end of the day, it is really up to the home owners to protect themselves. I learnt a hard lesson of I should put everything (I really mean everything) in black and white, till this day, I regret not putting everything down on paper. If renovation don't go the way you have asked for, you can argue till you are blue in the face and the ID can say, "no, you didn't say that." and the ID would have won the dispute. Also, if ID good, sub-con no good, back to square.
  7. Didn't know that there is a ruling that you can't talk about bad experiences if you just join this forum? Forum is about sharing and members who join have to read and judge for themselves who to believe. If members who post and get bombard with scoldings and negative comments then who want to post liao. Then only post questions, no one answers?
  8. Hi 123abc Enjoy your reseach materials. Please keep them coming. Your thoughts on IDs are spot on. My experience with my ID wasn't so good and now thinking of redoing my WIW cos of the lousy shelvings and space done by the ID. My hat off to you.
  9. Repeating my reply so for reference in future. I stay in Yishun so the cover is from one of the neighbourhood hardware store. I'm pretty sure it is available elsewhere. Word of warning though, if your compressor is smaller, there is a risk of the cover being blown away. The cover works like a shower cap, means there is elastic at the edge, and it goes over the compressor like you put the shower cap on your head. If your compressor is smaller, the cover will puff up so it may be blown away, like it happened to mine. I tried the rubber mat which has suction cups on the bottom which is meant for bathtub. The problem was since there are holes in the mat, rain drops can also hit the compressor, so it wasn't much help for me.
  10. I bought this silvery cover for my aircon compressor. It costs $15. Helps to lessen the `tok tok' sound and the splashing when raining.
