  2. This is how I look for apartment I like: 1. Identify where you want to stay e.g. North, East, South or West 2. Spent time at your favorite location and survey the area; use Google Earth to get their rough facing and surroundings 3. Identify the block/blocks you like; take down the block number 4. Go to the bigger agent like HSR and tell them that you like which block/blocks at which district. They'll be able to find all the units that are on sale in the block/blocks using their database. Note: You may have to wait a week or two before they find one. It's easier than going round the whole of S'pore looking for one. Not all agents know how to use this powerful tool i.e. the database.
  3. Any layout to give us a better picture of the apartment? Is the divider between the main door and the balcony? If it is, you may want to retain it to slow down the Qi from rushing in and out of the house.
  4. Yes, the device can detect conceal wiring but can be doggy at times. Available at most DIY shops. You can actually know where the wires and pipes are if you tap the wall with a small hammer. Areas with wires and pipes sounds different (the sound is not too solid)
  5. It's very difficult to establish the facing of a pie shape building. If you get the facing wrong, the plotting of the stars will be wrong. Suggest you get a professional FSM.
  6. This device is not very reliable (see picture below). If you hit metal, you see metal dust instead of plaster/concrete. The smell will also tell you something is wrong. I'll normal use a concrete punch and hammer to break thru the BRC and continue drilling.
  7. A good main door and steel gate with proper locks will normally put off a burglar. Breakin are normally via the windows; it's the weakest link.
  8. The facing of the main door may not be the facing of your house. You must first establish the facing before you know whether you main door is in a good location. The location of the door is more important than the facing of the door. Missing corners of the house are like missing organ thus when something is missing you are susceptable to certain problem. A protrusion is the opposite of missing corner. having a protrusion is basically like having two copies of one vital organ.
  9. Kitchen Feng Shui 1. Kitchen should never be located in the central palace or Heavenly Heart of the property i.e. center of the house. 2. The sink should not be opposite the stove 3. The stove should not be located infront of the kitchen door 4. The stove should not be located below a beam 5. The sink must be a least 2' from the stove 6. The kitchen should be located in a negative sector of the house based on the House Gua. the purpose of locating the kitchen in a negative sector is to suppress the negative Qi in the property 7. Avoid kitchen with #5, #2, #5 and #2, #2 and #3 star Item 6 is based on Eight Mansions Feng Shui Item 7 is based on flying Star Feng Shui Note: It's almost impossible to find a house with perfect FS. Very often one have to compromise but never compromise on the location of the front door.
  10. All school of Feng Shui whether they are based on Qi or Form make use of compass. If you encounter a Feng Shui consultant who does not use a compass then you should be very concerned.
  11. "Edge of wall poking at the stove" is referred to as Edge Sha.
  12. Every property at certain times will be very bad or very good. Every property at certain times will have negative and positive stars at the Main door. Flying Stars change position every year, month, day and hours. In that sense, nothing is truely forever or permanent when it comes to Feng Shui. The last major change was in 2004 when we move from Period Seven to Period Eight (once every 20 years)
  13. Relocate your stove, it's bad to locate your stove in front of the kitchen door. It's like a mini-T junction, your stove will be afflicted by Sha Qi.
  14. Missing corners (big chunk) of the house are like a missing organ. When something is missing, you are susceptible to certain problems. A square/rectangle house have all 5 elements and sectors, it's immune to most negative influnces externally as well as the annual negative influences.
  15. It's not good to have stove in front of kitchen door be it direct or side. This is like a mini T-junction, the Sha Qi from the door rushes in and hit the stove.
  16. Fridge facing stove is okay but not sink facing stove (water clashing with fire)
  17. Feng Shui is a practical science and most of all it is a sience of commonsense.
  18. The placement of water is very important aspect of Feng Shui, it is better left to the professional as incorrect placement can create serious problems for the occupants. Water substantially affects the flow of Qi in a property. Water in the right place encourages positive Qi flow. Water in the wrong place may create drastic outcome or violent flow of Qi.
  19. His books are easy to read and understand e.g. Feng Shui for Home Buyer Feng Shui for Apartment Buyer
  20. You need to know the facing of your apartment before you can establish whether your door, kitchen or bedroom are located in a good or bad Sector. The location of the door is more important than the facing of the door.
  21. This is not a detrimental situation but not favourable because Qi should meander, and not flow in a straight line between rooms. The main thing to consider is the distance between the rooms.
  22. Does Qi enters the apartment thru the main door or balcony/windows? Can we feel Qi?
