  6. nice work on your house, and congrats moving into the estate. Welcome to Punggol, and enjoying exploring
  7. Hi Kalimantan, Glad to hear things are on the up for you. Are you the kalimantan from Arofanatics? Can pm me what's your new job scope like in the oil company? Cos I also in related industry.
  8. Hi, welcome to punggol....looking at your pre-reno pics reminds me of my resale unit bought a year ago....layout about exactly the same... by the way the previous owner of my unit installed two aircon units in the living room, one at the wall near to entrance to kitchen and the other at the wall near the window...i was told living room is too big an area for just one unit to work on...
  9. finally 1st to spam chop layout looks spacious 1+yrs old may be too young to have a room for himself. If you want the kids to be independant and not be too sticky to you and your partner, as in sleeping in the same room, i guess looking at their age now, it would be better to house both in a same bedroom for sleep and the other bedroom can be play / reading room for them.
  10. Congratulations I also gave up on the balloting system after being assigned >8k queue number in the oct exercise, and jumped into resale market. Do update us with pics
  11. Good day, Welcome to punggol....I am also in the same estate...just shifted in to my resale unit a week ago... Your kitchen looks familiar, saw your unit on iproperty.com before...Blk 128b? nice sea/river view
  12. Good day guys, I have shifted in to my new house on 19 jan 09. Went HDB today for the completion appointment today. Everything settled finally. Hope i wont be creating any new t-blogs anymore cos that will mean moving house again which is a no no. The craziest part to the whole episode is the moving house part - packing/unpacking... Here's wishing all member happy Chinese New Year.
  13. 13k but i did not do any hacking for my reno. The main things done are, tv console and wall platform in the living room, wardrobe for my bedroom, floor platform, side headboard with the quarter circle tv platforms, small tic-tac door compartment, changing of 4 pieces of wardrobe door and changing of better quality tracks, fabricate cultured marble vanity top in the common toilet, joven storage heater, hacking of existing shower kerb and re-doing new kerb with 3piece sliding shower screen, painting of the house etc etc plus some miscellaneous items like re-varnishing of existing wood cabinets, washing, installing of lightings and other accessories which i bought etc etc... I do not know whether 13k is considered good deal or not cos i didnt go around checking quotes. My colleague's house was done by him so i went straight to him, told him that i dont expect him not to earn but please be reasonable in the profits, and i am rushing for cny so the finishing better be good cos i dont want problems to crop here and there. Basically he will call me every other day to update me on the progress. Buying of lightings also i go to the shops he recommended and after choosing i just pay deposit and the shop will wait for his call to arrange delivery of the lights when the reno progresses. i have nothing to complain as everything's a breeze. By the way i have shifted in to stay already
  14. Hi roamca, The string curtain's from a curtain shop located beside chong boon market in amk ave 10....bought it for $89, length about 290cm just nice fit my window's length. Just nice uncle have a ready pack of red colour one so bought it there and then. Spotlight in Plaza Sing also sell string curtains but i believed in shorter lengths...
