some obivous scratches on my carpentry not settled actually. i wonder when i will ah wei pop by and settle the o/s issues. else tmr HO should be in the pipeline

I told uncle, to me, this is common sense and I do not understand why they want to install this way, and soo soooooo near? he agreed and got Ah hock to check again. I have some parts of my windows can't even lock unless i really pull the grille away, which I really cannot accept lor. Generally happy with my house except the grilles

ok, the lock/knob on the casements, when u turn and lock them, there is supposed to have a button that u can glide it down to lock the windows. mine don't have leh...Gaku, do you have for yours?

Thanks Gaku, i can't see it on the casement of the windows...but never mind. what makes me boil is, they installed the grilles and guess what? in the end some parts of the lock cannot be turned fully as the grille is positioned too near to the windows!! Don't they test before that? and it took them forever to get this rectified

a quick qn for fellow "sooners" who changed their windows & casement. Does the window latch comes with a safety lock feature? Mine doesn't and generally those that I saw all comes with it. I just do not buy the story that Ah Hock says this is the latest trend that there is no safety lock feature? From this, I think all can guess my displeasure in the whole reno is the aluminium works. Elder Goh knows about it, Uncle knows about it and had agreed that it was not very well done and had called Ah Hock down several times too. anyone has their picture of the windows done can show me to compare? I am gonna take picture when i pop by this evening. to show u all what I mean.

Ah Tan resigned too. But he has to finish off whatever outstanding jobs done by him and his team... My hubby nit-pick on other things...in a way we complement. I can close one eye on some things, he does on another. so in the ends many small things to rectify. Maybe u want o ask uncle. about the grouting I am also not very sure. but i must remind him that I wan to keep some tiles just in case... since u have tiling works to rectify, get uncle to also try and cover that polish stain. spilling over of the grouting looks so fat and the lines not straight making it looks kinda messy im a fusspot lah...hubby says ok, but the more i see i find it an eyesore. my carpentry is not too bad i can say...that's why i was shocked to see uncle asking ur carpenter there and F him left right centre...then goes to your place again on Monday. quickly sms u cos he was really pissed of by his works.

can they try and re-do the stainless steel backing? Or at least make it look nicer? i do not know much about laminated flooring. white patches are caused by scratches or they dirtied it during the process? are there ways to rectify?

it can be. it is stained because they placed something there. all other parts sparkling white...so will get them to try and clean up.
