I agree with u, Angel. I pin down a date to Jason cos we need to 安神 on a certain date. That is why I say I can delay my dateline, but i die die must get the house ready by then. I actually shift my HO 2 weeks later just to let them have some breathing space.

Growler: So sorry to hear that uncle missed ur appointments, datelines and even avoided your calls. Actually uncle will also miss my calls. Sometimes he calls back, sometimes he doesn't. Gaku, i spent some time reading your posts. I spoke to uncle about your unit. Uncle is really trying to work on the delivery for u. Abit tight,he admitted, but he assured that he will get it ready for u. see my place, i thought it is still very abre, then everyone came all together! I am happy to see so many people around. initially when i saw ashes' unhappiness about her reno, it did affect me a little. FOr my house till now, a fair statement for uncle is...he really values all his work and ensures quality is delivered. I have to agree that he sub his works out and he having too many projects to handle is pretty tough and his time is always not enough. Once he calls or even manage to meet me up, i will be very happy! Frankly, till now i have no complains. anything that i feel it is not right, i call uncle and tell him. like one inciden, my balony was sorta level up...it now has smaller step and i am beginning to think it is really better this way. and tho tiring...i enjoy being so hands on in my reno too More importantly, u need to be comfortable with the contractor/ID u choose. Not just the pricing,comfort level and trust is very impt.

i just came back from PR and is quite happy with the progress Photos unable to download. Something's wrong with my iPhone so I shall try loading later Tiling Good progress. in fact all done for Hall, kitchen, balcony, 3 toilets etc. Happy with what I see. they rectified the mosaics but still uneven. Uncle saw and told me, "放心，我叫他们敲掉重做。" Nothing beats Uncle's assurance like such I was rather disappointed to see only ONE worker at work when we went there in the morning. Later, the electrcian came, followed by my delivery of the toilet fittings, aircon guys all came around the same time. This makes me really busy busy busy... Soon after, Jason came. He was early (so I thought)...BUt he told me he can only come around 5pm. I was tired, so told him if he can't come at 3pm, we shall meet another day. He confirmed on Sunday morning. We talked about the elect works, wiring and stuff, and he left. My lightings came too I went out for lunch... When I came back, the aluminium guy was working on the remaining window frames and another elect guy joined Ah Tan with the elect works and they confirmed that it will be done by tomorrow and the false ceiling guys came, then the 5 guys doing the plumbing works came too! So crowded!!! I quickly settled the location of various stuff and scooted off. Too tired staying there for the whole day and it was so warm today! Uncle and Jason both said my house should be able to HO by 3 weeks' time. I am really hoping to see the carpentry works...my fruit of labour

gaku, uncle should be at your place by now. I asked uncle about your progress, he assured me the dateline although tight, it is possible. Call Jason n meet him up soon. There are bound to have hiccups, jiayou! Anything u feel not right, tell uncle about it

i suggest u check with the installer. Cos for my mom's with false ceiling they were able to do it and rectify the initial fault by that dishonest aircon seller...the piping is very lousy and starts leaking after less than 3 months upon installation and 2 years later, the whole compressor died. I think they should have a way to deal with this if it is possible. No harm checking out ya...it may save u some trouble too

Congrats!!! wishing yours will be smooth smooth !!! tell uncle, he will pay more attention to your reno if you let him know you do not have much time to jaga your reno. If it is not structural wall, it should be k. but my HDb officer blur blur, that's why took SOOOOO long for the approval.

I actually agree with Pet's suggestion. But to me, nowadays elect stuff not so lasting...if u intend to stay for at least a good 5 to 7 years, would be be an investment worthwhile to get a new one? I know they can just change the aircon compressor and the aircon. FOrgot about the piping part my mom did change her set before.

Uncle called me while I was having lunch... He informed me that he will replace my main door frame as it seems rather shaky after all the hacking (?!). I told him to go ahead and he says my flooring is almost done! Yippee!!! He also warned me not to step on my pebble was floor today if I were to go up and have a look. Eh...actually my pebble wash is the along the recess balcony...how can we not step on it if we go there??? He thought we can walk on the walls like spider man? then he laughed....He is really funny lah! Told him it's ok, since we are going up tomorrow, I will not go up today.
