  1. no worries...that door more troublesome. Worse comes to worse, I will use a glass door....
  2. Vast difference! Better show Uncle this!! Get them all sit down and have a discussion and update us. Don't feel so upset first...
  3. Quite torn with this decision. I like PD door for the fact it saves space. Hubby and I didn't like bi-fold (those with top-bottom tracks as mentioned by mrspiglet, the problem with the gap. zerochristy, I am using glass door for my 2 other toilets at L2. only the L1 toilet I though if changing. Let me go think think and decide.
  4. Blue, do you have any L-box/cove lights/false ceiling etc? Go through with Jason/Uncle to finalise the number of lights and then go and buy. The electricians will install for u. but one thing to NOTE: I suggest you be present at the same time during installation as they may mix up the lights. For kitchen I only plan to decide only after my kitchen cabinets all up. I think rectification works will continue after the carpentry is up, ample time for you to shop fr the stuff then? Just inform uncle/jason, I do think it is not a big issue to get them to install for u.
  5. Oh...then I better call Uncle Soon and tell him that there are tiles that are not to be acid washed.
  6. no leh...Alex is not too tall. A little chubby, no specs
  7. I will aubrey. I think I will meet Ah Wei up when my 1st piece of carpentry is going up too. Sigh...
  8. it was also Alex who attended to me I agree that he is very nice
  9. aubrey, read the thread provided by ocheeng. It's very informative
  10. hehe...maybe I should just put there: Please approach the owners for assistance"
  11. i also use photobucket to upload the pictures. how about flickr?
  12. Thanks for the feedback, Angel. I worry that during Housewarming, some chor lor guests that I have will break my door too! and not forgetting kids...they may want to play with the door too!
  13. aubrey, I once checked with Uncle on the material used. I asked if it is solid plywood, he says he uses that and it is from indonesia, so it is more durable. Cos if he is not,I do not mind to top up, I just wanted better quality that would last longer. Best not to make more guesses. Ask Uncle to go and check is better. Sometimes we are worried that the sub-con did not follow uncle's instructions?
  14. I agree! Not too late to book uncle. do u have a floor plan to share?
  15. do u have the measurements? from the pics, it looks pretty ok.
  16. I have Ah Hock's number Thanks I am intending to go to the PD door showroom and have a look again. The last time I went, I quite like it. But if there is potential problems, I will reconsider. As the kids are still young, I also do not want them to face problem when they try to close the door.
  17. I am not sure if Growler face such an issue. Maybe you want to check with him? My carpentry is not up yet, so can't comment. Or you can chek with Wendy?
  18. Icic...sigh...if so troublesome, I may just change back to bi-fold. Let me go and have a look one more time before I decide. This door is giving me headache. as the bathroom is really small, and the kithen area is not too big, so I though using PD door can save some space.
  19. I really hate trouble. the possible problem is with the catchment when we slide in and swing?
  20. If I'm not wrong, it is after most works done and before HO. I also need to check as some of my tiles cannot be acid washed.
  21. Feedback to Uncle directly...don't even go to Jason. Cos uncle is more 爽快 and decisive on such matters.
  22. Regarding the bi-fold door, uncle says there is one type that is top-hung and will have lesser problem in the long run. He mentioned he is very chor lor and the one at his house is still working very well. But I prefer PD door lah...so have decided to go ahead and use PD door
  23. If you have doubts about the materials used, don't hesistate, call uncle and ask him to come by and have a look. Fondue's picture is the right one.
