There were 3 rectifications that needs to be done. Well, the defects we found were really minimal as the place is also in a mess, I also can't check well. Hubby checked the L2 toilets, only a small hollow sound at ONE corner of a tile. Met Joseph aka bo geh. went through the defects and he wrote them down!!! Even my requests he also wrote down! How to forget when he takes notes in his small notebook? They were still working when we left at around 8.30pm. So paiseh...I asked ah wei if they were still there, he said he left and we thought no one's there! went up empty handed. Told hubby to buy them something to eat tomorrow after work. The guys were good, chatted with us and answered some of my questions. I can say, the worksmanship for this group is Now the house seems so small with all the stuff here and there!!!

same here...no quote. only have one, the inital discussed one. generally i added a set of bedside table, changed my PD door to bi-fold, added a study cum computer table. added some solid core laminates. Generally not much changes. my wooden framed doors changed to white powder coated aluminium instead after advise from ah wei.. I wrote down most of the things. so if I lose my book, I can't remember anymore! haha...

i think mrspiglet did the same silver mosaic Nice nice...Uncle usually will add the mosaics in the quote. Some tiles I choose are more expensive, if not too much over the $3 mark, he is ok. If too much, then need to top up.

Gaku, I think it is clementi Ivy that she is referring to. I also have the same thoughts. He should be back in action once he cools down. Uncle meant no harm lah...probably the stress due to overloaded with work that's why small matters here and there adds up to some unhappiness.

Thanks for the info Gaku! My units will only be up next week, which is after HO. Understand on the part whereby they'll damage the cornices/false ceiling etc. I just hope they will do it well and proper. So far Uncle says can call him if the aircon guys mess up and needs him to help touch up. We will see how.

sad to say, i was very angry to go up to my place after work when the elect guys called me twice to tell me that my pendant light is nowhere found. I was the one who received the items and I DID SEE that it was there, one piece, intact! True enough, the box was still sitting there nicely when I rushed up after work. Almost wanted to kill someone!! my rectification list is not too long for now as carpentry is still not up. Uncle also pointed out some not so well done things (which I never really notice) and without me telling, he already ask joseph to call Ah Hock to re-do everything! I found 5 hollow tiles in the entire kitchen. so they will replace. I will pop by and check again tonight. the mosiacs still not nicely done...I can't check the floor tiles as they are all laid with paper. Guess i can only check when carpentry is done.

Oh...weather's bad, better take good care and drink more water. my electrical jobs are not 100% completed and they chipped one of my lights. I hope the lighting issues can be resolved soon. Why not call Uncle and try telling him on the tripping issue? I am not sure if we can get Inspector to certify the work. As I was typing, Ah Tan called me to verify my lights. He sounded ok...they installed some of the lights wrongly and I used my 2 halogen lights meant for the altar. Anyways, small matter, i will get it resolved. My HO supposed to be monday. keeping my fingers crossed, hopefully everything will be ok.

Gaku, ur elect guy is Ah Tan? So far many who had worked with Joseph says he is quite on the ball kind. Hopefully no more delays this time around. He will also take over my reno too. Tell the tripping problem to Joseph or Uncle...Hope they can quickly settle for u. Hmm...I was just thinking how come no updates for your unit and your update came today!

Eh, your experiement is good leh but too bad, mine is a one-side cove at the opposite of the feature wall...well. my wardrobes not up yet...I was contemplating the idea of having lights in the wardrobes, it only dawned on me when I thought my kids will have to wake up early and may have problems if they want to find something in the wardrobe. I brought this idea across to Ah Wei, but he mentioned that SG dun sell such switches, and he went to JB to search for it. Hoping that it'll turn out well.

but u got your lights already? L box is practical, that is what my Hubby wanted, but I want it to look nice too, so I insisted to have cove lights in MBR and Hall i very ba dao I also added lights in my wardrobes. Like those in the hotels

WAH!!! I only have a few T5, less than 10 in fact Probably I will use cove lights when: 1. watching a late night movie with Hubby? 2. watching a late night movie alone? 3. out of vanity just switch it on so that I get to use the lights? I need to use it. Hubby was against the idea of the cove lightings but i insisted. die-die also have to find a way to use it in front of him. For my dining, i like cove lights, Jason and Hubby are against the idea, so in order to have a win-win situation, I used PLU and the lights shine the ceiling creating a similiar effect like the cove lightings. I go up tonight and take pictures to show u.

I hv cove light in my false ceiling, but only in the living room. Have yet to try, but Uncle said it should be fine.

Uncle very nice...I called him yesterday and told him about it, and he says no worries, he will lay the paper for me, so that they do not mess up the place. If need his help, just call him wor...I also paiseh. Think will just get the guys to be more careful and Hubby and I just gotta clean up the mess after that.
