MBR Tv console (rounded edge too) and bedside tables incomplete feature wall! The wallpaper will take 2 weeks to be ready... carpentry work will end today! I wonder how long will they take to finish the o/s items Elder Goh will be going to clear the house tomorrow, and I spoke to uncle about the o/s jobs and rectification works. They will do it in my presence as I will be locking up the place after Monday. Solid top and granite top will be up next saturday, any rectifications will be also next weekend. If there is anyone who do not mind the distance and want to drop by, can come over next weekend Furniture and all will be delivered next saturday too! So looking forward to shifting in!!!

aubrey, they made our day! After a day of nonsense at work, it is great to be home and see them smiling and running about. Cleaning part...I am still hoping to find a good part time maid to help me. so that I can spend more time baking and cooking!!!

u bet! My girl and boy after seeing my mom cleaning the house with a cloth everyday, learnt to take a cloth to clean here and there...and both are so happy about helping! My boy can't walk yet, can only stabd at the table, take his hanky and clean clean clean...very cute My girl can actually make her own bed, arrange her own books...but kids being kids, when they want to help, they really help, when they don;t they just leave the things lying around.

actually magic clean is pretty easy leh. hehe...it's easy for lazy people like me I can't imagine my white tiles end of the day...but i still like bright and clean look choose white, choose white! LOLx

Yah man...Pet, Hubby is the one who will clean the higher places...and with my Mom, she loves to clean toilets. Generally, mom will want to keep herself busy by helping with the general cleaning. I wanted a maid, but she is against that idea and didn't want us to waste money. So, I will wake up earlier to clean the lower floor like vacuum and mopping so that the kids and mom will wake up to a clean hall, night time i will clean the rooms so that they will have clean rooms to rest in I hope I can do it lah...sometimes work can be taxing that I just feel like lazing after reaching home.

Blum drawers, i went ikea and try try...initally wanted to get theirs, bt in the end decided to get blum instead as the price isn't alot of difference if we pay the carpenter (carpenter's pricing). If you get Blum's retail price, it'll definitely be more expensive. If you want them, u need to top up. Tho uncle says wana give me a little bit FOC, I didn't want to be so cheapo and squeeze him dry, I paid my carpenter for the additional items that I wanted. Our quote does not include any blum system at all however i believe it includes soft closing. as for the trouser rack, i think it can hold 12 trousers. actually it looks neater this way i think our HO dates very close to one another, that's why u see so many updates lately

i went thru my inital quote and saw that there is no indication. best to ask joseph or uncle. For my points, total is 40, and uncle will deduct if at the end of the day less then that, more he will give me FOC. so i have no idea until i see him probably on monday then i can ask.

Besides ah wei, i believe there are also better carpenter under uncle. probably recently more people talk about him, that why we all know him? all my stuff were not fully up yet, so to say I am perfectly happy might be too early. i have a little complain on my kids' wardrobe door, will take a picture to show when it is up.

wah...does that mean your future house u guys will undertake the reno by yourselves? my Dad dis our first house himself with the help of his workers/friends. He used to be a HDB contractor too and is good with such things. our house except carpentry all done by him. but now he no longer does it, so once in a while i will pick some tips from him on what to look out for etc. that's why he grilled uncle on the materials he used and Uncle said, "wah, you dad is good hor, he knows the stuff". hehe

i also like the way joseph handles the projects. he really remembers things and listen to your requests/complains and takes it to heart, making sure thigs are rectified accordingly. this is good as it reliefs uncle off the heavy load so that he can concentrate better on other things
