What kind of wall tiles are you choosing? If you are using ceramic wall tiles, try to get you ID / contractor to show you how he / she intend to cover the 90 degree joint. I didn't know initially until too late. I didn't know that it's standard method to add a pvc strip (look at the brown strip on my master toilet cement rack). Me and my wife is a bit particular about it. Some of my friends say it blend in quite well with the tiles but we felt that it's very ugly. My ID mentioned that this is the "usual" way to do it. there's another to do it which is "slice" the tiles end to 45 degree so that when both side joined, it'll look nice but the drawback is that it'll be very easily crack and break. The PVC finishing is not ugly for all tiles, some tiles, i.e. white color tiles like below (the cement rack in my common toilet), the PVC will not stand out and seldom people will notice about it so it's still alright. That's why you need to find out what color the PVC your contractor / ID is using before it's too late. Some people don't mind though... Just a piece of heads up...

hahaha... so long as can share the photos with us, then it's fine....

what i do usually is upload to yahoo flickr. after upload, just click on the photo and on the top right corner select "share this". on the pop-up menu, select "grab the html". Don't copy the full address. Just copy starting from "http:" to ".jpg". it's usually at the end of the whole address. After that over here is just the same, select the insert image and paste the link there and you are done. No need to resize the image or anything.

By end of this week, all reno will be done... except for carpentry works (wardrobes, kitchen cabinet, tv console and shoe rack) those will be done before end of this month. I have total 10 downlights ****, 6 at dining area, 1 ceiling light at balcony. All is using the 2X18W bulb except for the ceiling light which is using 1x18W. It's actually quite bright... this is the view with all the 10 downlights **** room turned on. It's taken around 7+pm Living - night view

safest choice is call your hdb officer and ask. You have a letter or some document from him / her during the 1st appointment right? The phone number at the top part of the letter is a direct line to the officer handling your case. You can also email him / her.

Congratulation on your new buy... For the remaining COV, you'll have to pay to HDB in either cash cheque or cash during your first appointment. The officer will inform you to go to 3rd floor of the HDB hub and pay the remaining sum at the casher. HDB will then only pay the seller on the 2nd appointment the COV + positive cash proceed if there's any. There's also some miscelenious fees that you need to pay. this the officer will inform you during the 1st appointment... you can either refer to hdb website for more info or i can dig through my document this weekend and provide you the details after that.... cause i can't really remember what else did i pay.
