  2. yeah then you are very lucky then. we were also enticed the other time, with the very nice reviews, that's why we decided to go to their showroom to take a look. Btw, my reno have finished quite sometime oredi, its just that the person who served us, was terrible. maybe our reno budget was really so miserable. sigh. then you are setting up a T-Blog soon? started on any reno works already?

  4. hi all, would you all like to try my ID for a quote? he's a very honest person, and the best part is, he would not try to cheat and lie. workmanship is not bad, u all can go to My T-Blog to see. and not really ex, for an ID.

But for your Wardrobe its considered to be very cheap. Using wat type of laminates? Then for your Plumbing items, i find that the installation charges you can still bring it down. 1 item installation at this pricing can easily set you back another 1k, if you add up all the small small items.
  6. do you wana try my ID? resonable and nice works too. but i really do find your electrical items to be on the high side. Your items below, Valids for some units only, wat does it mean? 2 Hack off existing floor tiles & skirting @ 03 bedrooms area ( Or skirting only ) (**Valids for some units only) 3 Hack off existing floor tiles & skirting @ study room area ( Or skirting only ) (**Valids for some units only)
  7. got use leh, where got no use? we drip water onto a big red tub everyday. when we return home from work, there's a full tub ready for us to use, for flushing toilets and washing clothes. & the best part is, the meter hardly run at all.
  8. i went to taobao to order my decals, **** cheap only about $8 for a big piece of coloured decals. but you will need to DIY and paste it yourself leh
  9. It will all depends on what you are doing. an major overhaul of everything? will it include electrical, carpentry, plumbing works and tiling? or just overlaying of tiles and painting only? you never give an rough estimate of what you are going to do leh
  10. nope, ours was done by an ID too. but it was only 20 something k only. it all depends on your luck, whether you are lucky to meet the right ID or not. ours helped us to cut costs too. very honest guy
  11. Honestly speaking i did went down to Darwin Interior before last time, located near Lavender there to tok to one of them. My 1st impression of them was very very bad. nobody entertained me although we stood there for more than 15 mins. finally someone came, and asked me to sit down. i forgot that guy's name, but after he heard our budget, his friendly tone changed. I dunno, it gave me an uneasy feeling. anyway i was right, after comparing with a few contractors and other IDs, what they quoted us was easily 10k more than other people. As we are budget constraint, never signed up with them.
  12. Wildarms, if you wanted very budget furniture sure have. last time i also bought very budget furniture, i got an sofa, tv console, dinning tables with chairs and coffee table, with laoya 1 whole set bedroom furniture, only costs me around 2 thousand something! u dun believe rite? most of the furniture are bought from furniture clearance warehouse sales, only available at industrial parks that you never heard of. the sofa only $299.00. tv console around $399.00. dinning tables about $250.00. 2 sets of bedroom furniture with comes with mirror, dressing table and stool, 1 small side table, bedframe and wardrobe. about $599 per set. you can look at the Straits Times every saturday for such great deals, but you cannot expect good quality or very nice designer looking ones. just very plain ones which you can use. Dun go for IKEA stuff, although very cheap, but its not lasting at all. so it wastes money. Painting you can also still DIY
  13. i dun think you can break the contract. the owner got the right to forfeit your deposit. like what looneygas has said, if you can sit down nicely and ask the owner, if you get him a replacement to replace you, he can dun forfeit? becoz when you sign on the rental agreement, does it clearly states that? if not, you can get back.
  14. Oh, if you are toking about only changing the grille hor, then must be same colour leh, if not it will not be matching. but i think white colour looks so sophisticated and grand. but easily dirty lor. last time i also thought need to burn another 2 to 3k extra for my grilles, but my ID said no need. save money, i am so happy lor! haha. i rem its about 2 to 3k for my whole hse leh. but lastly, they just change the spoilt key lock set for me lor. your windows which part is faulty?
  15. Gosh, today you are on leave? you really took the effort to type out this long list. Thanks! its very useful indeed. i am wondering if the boy really go and press the doorbell, wat would your hubby scold? kekeke, bad neighbours, should give them something to be scared about.
  16. okay leh, as long as you move in before the ghost month is okay lor. anyway, rem to post up more pics of your move-in condition hor. Cheers!
  17. sigh I find that there are forever inconsiderate HDB dwellers around leh. so how's your doorbell incident? the naughty boy got come and ring again or not? my upstairs neighbours also like that, saw my clothes hanging out, ALMOST DRY!!! and then that stupid woman go and hang out her dripping wet clothes. Fun rite! iam so pissed until i scold vulgar words at the window. so angry, & so inconsiderate. Can we report this pple to HDB or not? give them a warning letter or something like that?
