  1. hello, so u have met Andy before finally engaging ******? if you can only back track time, do you mean you would rather choose Baroque as your final contractor? kindly advice as I am thinking to get Andy as our final contractor...however, their masonry and carpentry works turn out to be much more expensive that other companies... pls advice. thanks.
  2. we have shortlisted 3 renovation firms after meeting around 7 firms recommended in this forum plus those that are listed under Radac. so far, here are my comments for each of them, and hope you can help assess which one we should finally choose: 1. Company A - the contractor here was highly recommended by my colleague for the good account service plus competitive price; I have confirmed that their price is the best compared to the other 2; timeline- finish after 6 to 7 weeks; asking more time to finish due to CNY; sometimes, find it difficult to communicate in English, but still can understand a bit (I hope so) 2. Company B - We are talking to the designer who is clear in communication skills; nice design and proposal but total price is very expensive; can finish after 6 to 7 weeks 3. Company C - Can finish in 5 to 6 weeks; competitive pricing but found that they have demerit points from HDB due to lack of waterproofing during toilet works... the renovation works to be done in our resale flat are 2 toilets, 2 bedrooms, carpentry works in bedroom, living and main entrance.. constraints: after collecting the key on 15 January, most workers will start taking leave for the Chinese New Year... pls advice on whether we just wait after CNY to start the actual renovation; or can do partial job before CNY, then followed by remaining work after CNY? thanks.
  3. hello everyone, mind sharing your insights about INVERTER vs NON-INVERTER aircon? my hubby is so happy with the sales talk at Best Tech in IMM, that he paid a deposit of Sgd 200 already for the Toshiba Sys 4 Inverter. The total price offered to us Sgd 3,400 including GST, installation of better quality materials (per the salesman). but this price comes with a trade-in of the old aircon... whereas, daikin sys 4 non-inverter will cost about Sgd 2500 inclusive of GST, plus installation. We need system 4 coz we have a total of 4 bedrooms. But we will only use the aircon at night time until morning time (sleeping hours about 7 to 8 hours). will appreciate to seek your advice on: 1. price 2. features/or which to go for - inverter or non-inverter? thanks so much in advance...
  4. thanks for your points of view. do you have any recommendations? will appreciate your help. many thanks.
  5. Hello, My hubby and I are not familiar with any of the renovation firms here in Singapore. We are about to renovate the resale flat in January. So far, we have gotten quotations from about 7 firms. We got their names from Radac list. After getting the quotations, we have shortlisted three. They are - Wonderhouse, D'Esprit and Creative Interior Design. Wonderhouse - referred by my colleage D'Esprit - listed under Radac and CASE Trust Creative Interior - very aggressive and propose to finish renovation within 5 weeks only Do you have any feedback for these firms? We will appreciate your help. Many thanks.
