think getting a gd quality laminate can help.. maybe you consider choose a slightly off white range laminate better, normaly plain white will turn abit yellowish after some times, don't know why but this always the case.

it depends on carpenter..some times if you only do bottom cabinet, the charges will be different as bottom cabinet deeper and got table top. charges for doing top only, bottom only, both top/bottom charges may varies.. if you got full height, they normal measure bottom plus middle and top..

even you get back the same code, it might not be same color tone as is due to different shipment and batches.. mayb you wana consider change it to a aluminium frame frosted glass or with color film door to add as a accent instead??

suggest you get a carpenter to chk at the condition , got granite top mayb a little bit more headpain as it is glued ontop the top..take out dont noe whether with crack or not.

last time alot ppl using suchway , by laying solid plywood top, then put glue to stick tiles on top..not lasting as water will go in.. not cheap leh..think you better consider solid/granite top
