  1. Ya, holding the last payment.. all the blum system in the kitchen cabinet is not installed.. initially the carpenters are supposed to install the anti-slam hinges to all the kitchen cabinet doors yesterday but the carpenters told us that the ID ordered the wrong one and cannot be installed.. So now still short of 3 drawers, 4 pull out tray (2 big & 2 small) & the anti-slam hinges.. Don't even know whether can make it for Chinese New Year cos the ID still do not have a firmed ship date from Blum.
  2. Wah.. your contractor really go to the extend for Customer Satisfaction.. I also like your red tiles!! The contrast is nice!!
  3. Here is the photo of the kitchen tap. We have done price comparison from 3 shops (Genova, Heritage & neighbourhood shop in bedok) and all shown us with the same kitchen tap.. and we got ours from Heritage and is lower than $150 The handover date is yesterday and we have not even see the ID yet as the cleaning is not done properly and the ID managed to get her contractor to reclean the house again today. Feedback from my hubby is that now the cleaning is more presentable.. Tomorrow we will be getting our sofa, bedframe and dining table.. However, Lorenzo told us that the dining chairs are out of stock and the next shipment will reach in Jan'2009 only So they will be giving us temp chairs.. Wondering if this is always the norm for furniture shop as my friend also told me that his L shaped sofa only managed to have half of it delivered and the other half took 2 - 3 months to reach him. His dining table is only delivered with 2 chairs when he ordered 4 and the deliveryman claimed that he know nothing.. Aiyo.. Hopefully nothing goes wrong tomorrow..
  4. The locksmith change for us which is arranged by the ID. I was not there so I didnt witnessed the change.. But for the letterbox, my hubby told me got a lot of different types of lock and hardware shop is selling too.. Is it.. hahaha... we bought it from Genova @ Bendemeer road..
  5. The kitchen hob is installed yesterday Closer look of kitchen hob Master bathroom new vanity cabinet and glass basin installed Rain shower @ master bathroom, the side is the towel shelf which can be folded if not in used I find that the rain shower is too high, but ID and hubby say it is ok.. Common toilet Wc, basin, mirror and shower set installed with missing tap due to short of 1 rubber insert.. Does anyone of you tried not to pay the ID the final payment? She came over yesterday and told us that the drawers will only be coming in during Jan and the date is not confirmed yet.. We do not want to pay the final 10% of the renovation fees since the drawers are not installed and as well as another 4 storage drawers at the kitchen cabinet..
  6. New updates!! The ceiling fan is installed on Monday. Initially, we have ordered a black colour ceiling fan but change our mind last week to the silver one.. Closer look of the ceiling fan The wrought iron gate is back from spray paint and change of new lock New lock for the main door On the same day, we have also requested the locksmith to change the lock for the letter box.. My hubby has also sms to the agent to inform him that we are changing lock and get him to inform the ex-owner to redirect their mails.. but till date.. no response from the agent..
  7. Haha.. now he only got the small small items.. think with this display cabinet, his collection will grow..
  8. Yeah.. initially wanted to do solid surface top, but want to save money so we keep the tiled top.. My hubby likes to collect starwars lego.. so those visible areas will be for him..
  9. Our ID informed us that the Blum drawers for our kitchen cabinet are out of stock. The ex-stock drawers can't fit our cabinet and she will only be able to know the next shipment by next week. I told her that I don't want to have 3 'lobangs' in the kitchen to spend christmas and new year so she promise to do up the temporary drawers for me. Kitchen cabinet without drawers Top kitchen cabinet with 2 aluminium doors Closer look of oven (next to it is the empty drawers) Cemet screed for kitchen top done The tiler is in today to expand the cut out size for the kitchen hob tomorrow the kitchen hob will be installed
  10. Here is the masterpiece of the display cabinet. Over all, this is the favourite piece among the whole house by my hubby and myself. Side view of display cabinet Front view of display cabinet with aluminium door at the sides Lighted up display cabinet Inner view of display cabinet - The 2 sides are with adjustable shelves. View from living room
  11. dun know y i am not able to logon to imageshack today.. so no pics to share.. Today update is that upon installation of the kitchen hob, then the installer inform us that the previous hob cut out size is smaller. The model that we have bought is a new model with larger cut out size and thus can't fit!! We have 2 options, 1 is to take older model which will fits the cut out size or 2 is to get tiler to cut/expand the cut out size. My hubby called the ID and she checked with her tiler and she is going to charge us $100 to cut the tiles in order to fit the new hob. I was like huh.. y not just change the model of the hob. But hubby likes the material used on the new model which the sales mentioned that is more durable and easier to maintain. We went a few places to shop for hob and even to harvey norman.. no one has advised us on the cut out size for the existing one needs to be the same. We even told them that we have measured the existing external size and even seek help whether can we purchase other sizes since i like the glass hob more.. So now have to wait for the tiler to expand the cut out size on monday.. the worry thing now is that the oven is already installed!!
  12. mmm.. just curious.. meaning that the contractor didnt able to complete the renovation in time as what he promise to you which is end of Nov? My friend did taught me 1 thing.. to ask the IDs/contractors for schedule, give 2 - 3 days grace period and lock them in the contract which by this date they didn't complete will have penalty.. In this way, they will go all out to finish the project on time.
  13. They have to put protection one.. Mine only hacked the counter top in master bathroom but the whole house is with corrugated cardboard for protection. pinkpetter is right, hold ur ID responsible if anything goes wrong..
  14. Hi wingster, you can ask the contractor to do re-lamination and change new doors with new hinges for the wardrobe. It looks as good as new. I am doing it too..
  15. I didn't know there is warranty for the toilet bowl. I forgot to ask!!
  16. The handover date is 17 December. Hopefully can move in on 25 December to celebrate Christmas.. haha
  17. Master bedroom wardrobe - relaminate and new doors. The one with open doors is a new cabinet with the carpenters do and slot it in.. Here is the closer look of how the laminate looks like for the Master bedroom I like this floral looking and since hubby don't approve on wallpaper. He compromise with the 'floral' looking thing in the room.. keke The laminate is from TAK (Luce Renaissance - DXO 1324X) Feature wall and TV console lights up!! We requested 'a hole' next to the TV console for the VGA cable and next to it is the switch for the lights behind the feature wall.
  18. We are almost there!!! Went over to the new flat and most of the carpentery are done except for the kitchen. Here is the photos that we have took. Shower screen in master bedroom Guest Room wardrobe & top cabinet - relaminating and new doors Study Room cabinet - relaminating and new doors Kitchen cabinet with oven installed (not complete yet)

Bedroom doors installed and paint white Common toilet Bi-fold door (frame: grey col) Master toilet Bi-fold door (frame: white col) & heart shaped lighting Display console work in progress Hi pinkpetter, Thanks for the encouragement I told my hubby not to see those things that we had already bought.. if there is other place more cheaper will feel heartache.. kekekeke
  23. I bought it from Morris @ $1699 Have seen another blog on renotalk that she bought it for $1500k in March 2008 from Morris too.. Didn't read that earlier...
  24. Renovation updates.. Kitchen cabinet without doors and drawers The ID will do some amendments to the kitchen cabinet under the hob as we need to install the built-in oven. The wall in between the hob and hood will have a stainless steel backing. Here is the 3d drawing for the kitchen cabinet. We will have a 'bartop counter' at the small opening between kitchen and living room.
  25. Yeah, I will be changing the door lock, will get the locksmith to change the letterbox one too.. Yup, like the layout and we just signed the OTP on the 1st viewing. Only after that then we realise there is no storeroom!! So we will have to do a display cum storage cabinet..
