  2. sorry guys for late reply...didn't know got some queries from you blueocean: we're thinking to add roller blind to the window since the view is not that nice. most probably will go for IKEA ones. I'll update with the pics once I installed it newnyew: here is the closeup picture of my sofa. It's cellini singabox: the tv console is from cellini as well.afaik they got white/silver and black/silver colour.all cables and adaptors can be hidden inside the compartment behind the console.pricewise is around $600-$700 We're in the middle of DIY painting the whole house... will post the picture as soon as we complete the progress
  3. Cheapest quotation that I received is from everjoint, can give approx 20% off retail price but only accept cash
  4. I saw Francis Francis espresso machine at Taka but using coffee powder. I believe that two models are not available in Singapore since you need special coffee capsule or pads to use it. My advice to get a coffee machine with bean grinder,eg.Jura,de Longhi,Saeco (but avoid Krups at all times due to poor service in Singapore) as it will be cheaper for long term use. Nespresso machine (which using capsule similar to illy model that u refer) seems cheaper but the capsule is far more expensive than coffee bean. I suggest you to import the coffee machine from www.amazon.de that has some credible sellers selling various range of machine priced a lot more cheaper than singapore and they also able to ship it here at reasonable rate
  5. I think Bosch will cost less compared to Smeg.last time I check it's around $2k http://singapore.bosch.en.nectar.netplace....l?source=browse
  6. ya,that's true.we've been using it for almost 1 year and got a lot of scratches already. Bought at heavily discounted price from Ace Hardware In Batam. I think we paid only $35 or $40 for this chopping board
  7. my ID is Jonathan from Kitchenzone,a very nice and patient guy. I only do cement screed n plastering for the visible area.behind kitchen cabinet is still old tiles
  8. Finally, can post some pictures after reno completion and very tiring deep cleaning for entire house In meantime, still waiting for new custom made white rectangular dining table and chair from Mode Studio. Estimated delivery date is first week of Jun.
  9. I also looking to re-laminate my 100cm x 100cm white coffee table anyone got good lobang with decent price?I don't mind to carry the table myself to the factory
  10. For slimline hood,it's better to have the distance 60cm since the suction power is much weaker than chimney type one. If you prefer to have higher distance, better to opt for more powerful hood
  11. Based on my opinion,Bosch is a good choice compared to Electrolux and Brandt in term of quality and finishing domino hob is normally is more expensive since it still "made in Europe" If u intend to purchase Bosch appliances, try Goh Ah Bee or Everjoint their prices are 15-20% lower than the "listed price" on Harvey normann or other big store
  12. My DIY Legrand Mallia Switch: 2 x 2 gang 20A Switch but one modified to 13A switch for countertop lamp and the rest for microwave, oven and hob with individual switch Do you have any experience with Legrand Mallia switch? I and my electrician find that 20A switch is very hard to switch unlike their normal switch.
  13. Renowork Day +24 Everything is up and running. Left carpenter to do some minor adjustment to the drawer and painter to touch up the wall paint Normally, do you think ID will give FOC general cleaning? My ID already did acid wash but not sure whether acid wash = general cleaning or not
  14. as long your inner drawer depth is more than 474mm,shouldn't be an issue to fit to non-blum rack but you need to make support to prevent the holder moving around inside the drawer the best is to change the drawer system with blum that cost around $50 then it will perfectly fit current month promo is knife holder with compatible utensil divider selling for $62 (after 30% discount) and plate holder which i couldn't recall the price last month was cutlery holder for $65 after discount
  15. yes,you are right.inner drawer cost about 30% more but looks neater and i think it's more sturdy for long term. FYI, Blum showroom always have promotional discounted orgaline item which is changing every month and I find it quite worth it (around 30%) Last month i bought the cutlery tray, and yesterday i bought knife holder as their current month promo.
  16. pardon me of the messiness of the fridge cos just dumped in everything from old fridge
  17. Renowork Day +20 As goodwill from ID,carpenter came and fix the cabinet door today on Sunday. Now our kitchen started to take shape... Tomorrow, carpenter will come again to paint the black lines from laminates joint and install glass backsplash no news yet from solid top company for my island top
  18. So far the reno progress has been very sluggish. Reno should be completed on yesterday but... for the past 9 days they only able to finish the cabinet installation and all sort of intolerable hi-cups from ID happen this week - first, right after cabinet installed they deliver the door with wrong laminate as requested. they never realized until I highlighted this matter to my ID and no choice have to send all doors back to factory to relaminate again - second, solid top surface came yesterday. the hob countertop is perfectly fine but island top, instead of 5cm edging they only make it as 4cm,so got no choice again to send back to redo again - third, there are numbers of misaligned holes inside kitchen cabinet and they do cover it up but looks a bit obvious any expert could enlighten me about the standard practice of carpenter in Singapore if they mistakenly drill a hole or misaligned the pipe? will they cover it up with another plywood or glued another laminate on top of it or re-laminate the whole thing. Below is the result to cover the wrong hole that they made. Is it acceptable? Partial laminate glued on top of the holes squarish plywood to cover misaligned piping hole
  19. I find Asia excel price always on the high side.they quoted me a single bowl crizto toilet bowl for $499 when other shop only selling for $300 only I bought rubine sink which the model number is same as what u have from Poh Joo for $280.few shops along jalan besar also selling it at approx same price
  20. OT a bit. How is the level of workmanship for your kitchen cabinet if let's say the carpenter drill wrong holes inside cabinet for drawer runner or misaligned outlet pipe Will he patch them using putty or cover partially with PVC laminate or change the whole PVC laminate? Thanks
  21. I bought Rubine brand 580 x 450 for $280.other brand is Roz from Hoe Kee selling for $200 size 450 x 450 both r rectangular w/o curve
