yes! we wanted to do simple door to hide my shoe boxes, but turned out to be a full cabinet w sliding doors! i realised the green toilet part too, u.. roamce, me.. who else ah? A fresh chge from the typical all white or dark toilet! hi ivy! initial quote was $21k+ but shd be below $21k cos i did a half height TV cabinet instead of full. Uncle say will deduct accordingly.

haiz.. i already gave up on the toilet part already. yday they just throw cement/plaster inside, now the bottom got residue that cannot be flushed away! i'm gonna complain to my contractor if it's still there during handover. for ur tv console right, better not to have too many holes. Heard from the carpenter it will affect the wood structure. Just decide how the cables shd run and run them all to 1 hole to the powerpoints/sockets.

hiak!! i think we all going thru the same question: how would he be able to handover by xx date?? After ur false ceiling shd be painting for a couple of days then carpentry. Must rembr to inspect ur carpentry hor!

Hee, the white flowery laminate is the most well done piece of carpentry in my entire house! Glad we both went w the gut feelings. How come the aircon will auto turn on? Even if it had sensor, someone must have turned on the compressor switch. I think u better turn off the switch for the moment in case ur flooring gets wet again? Toilet.. urgh. They can use my common toilet for all they want! but they choose to do big biz in my 1pc WC. argh.

Kari, i had reservations abt using white non-gloss laminate also, i scare it will turn black w dirty hands. but ya, heck it 1st, nice nice now. if turn dirty next time then chge! Anyway, i kept my aircon controller so no one can use my aircon. There was an incident i specifically taped my MBR WC, wrote "do not use" and they still use it... for big biz n nvr flush cleanly! from then on, i nvr wanna trust those workers again. Last wkend someone just spoilt my bidet spray pipe becos they nvr turn off the valve. *angry*

i bought the cheap ikea lights for my storeroom and service balcony too! working fine and good. Only part, i bought wrong bulbs and ended up with a very warm cosy service balcony.

hi worldangel! Welcome here! apart from deciding the location, the requirements that u have (high floor, lift landing etc), there's also other factors to consider like the renovation cost. Some flat may look alright at 1st, but when u take over the flat, u may realised u'll need to chge the windows/grills/gates, do extensive plastering, hacking of tiles (floor/wall). These are potentially the things that u may wanna take note of when balancing ur budget. If u want can always politely ask them if they mind.

tiling is expensive! but i think not as ex as hacking. Nvr had i imagine that hacking can cost me so much when its just plain drilling. What's ur to do list btw? Anyway even if enbloc also will take a few yrs to complete the new flats, so might as well reno now then to wait n wait. right?
