  1. Issit that case? I ask a lot of pple they say top floor usually very weak leh. Anyway i'm glad mine is strong, and sad that sometimes its too strong! We had to turn down the mains outside. The bidet spray was exchged 1-for-1, for both toilets, during the reno period. The Bellari pple boss came n chge to the heavy duty ones, FOC. Then some workers forgot to turn off the valve n the water pressure burst the flexible piping, water gushing all over for whole day n night, heartache ah.... Jason also chged the pipes for me there n then. Btw, u really very onz leh. Day n night also online.. still got work/kids/reno to jaga. lihai..
  2. I like the to spray water all over ba? My mum doesnt allow me to play water last time when i was young But i think gotta cut down liao, just saw my utility bills. Anyway apples, did uncle mention to u how long will it take him to re-do all the tiles? hope its not gonna take him too long..
  3. ya, i read that genova is cheap with the package promo? Can try Poh Joo too. Eestilo (@ Geylang) package is gd if u are aiming for 1-pc WC.
  4. Mimi, wat is the length of your cabinets and worktop? Off hand without dimensions, will be hard to see if u were over quoted leh..
  5. Metalsubzero Managed to dig out a pic...big pipe behind this tall but mini shelving. Jason's initiative. See if they can do some design to accommodate the mop and broom? Growler mentioned that they did it for him when they box up the pipe. My mop n broom is hiding behind my washing machine now cos there's no place for them! I think my downlights are normal white frame ones. I didnt go to Extreme, too far for me.. n i support Eastern shops! haha!! I had 12 downlights and i think the final discount could avg out to abt $21 per 2x13W downlight. The uncle says 2x13 or 2x18 both same price thou. I bought mine from No1 Lighting. Actually u can try A lighting or DK lighting too, prices are quite competitive. pinkpetter I've also got a colleague who's absolutely against hanging wet laundry! So he will die die get a dryer, despite knowing the bill is already killing him (at his parents' place now). Otherwise, try the gas dryer? Citygas claims that the bill is lesser than electrical bill.
  6. i dun mind any type of mosaics actually, wanted to use it for a mini DIY project to... but no time now so no hurry either! They may just end up giving u a whole stack of mosaics! always got a lot of leftovers...
  7. Some of the requested pics... Close up of MBR curtains: Hot+cold water piping for shower area: booy My water pressure is surprisingly very big even if most pple say top floor not likely to have gd water pressure. In fact, the moment the bidet spray was turned on it was spoiled.
  8. can install windows at the recess areas? Then problem solve liao mah! i tot cannot. I think old habits die hard, just have to treat ur bro invisible n close the windows when u go out, even if he's at home. Hahah! I want my mosaics too!! They cleared all my remaining mosaics, then jason brought some up for me, n the workers cleared away again!! argh. Jason still owes me the mosaics...
  9. pinkpetter AHHH!!!! so gd!! *jealous* fighting z-monster and monday blues here lor.. Nvm, i'll apply for my leave-in-lieu to nua at home soon! growler Mine dun have! cannot open one! he did a mini shelving for me at the front, but the pipe behind cannot be access. Pls tell me i'm at lesser risk since i'm on top floor? No neighbours above me?
  10. aubrey ur works are progressing fast! Gd that uncle is speeding things up for u. i love ur new PVC pipe, my regret that i forgot to ask uncle to chge. Don't the nice straight plastered edges just look lovely?? i had works going on in my house for almost every wkend too. Until neighbours come up n complain.. Jason told me one lah. So far, no complaints from town council.. heng ah.
  11. hmm, anyway to drill in some waterproof blinds at that area? no matter with or without the glass, rain splashing in will still wet the floor area there leh. At least with the blinds can 'reduce' a bit of rain coming in?
  12. congrats metal! Finally ur turn! Lights: i agree somehow its not really that time n effort worthy to run all over the place to save a few dollars here n there, very draining and tiring also. but i tot geylang's prices are quite ok? I've checked a few, all 2x18W downlights were ard <$25 leh. I bought mine @ $22 with osram bulbs. Service balcony's beam cannot be hacked away, but Pet saw that in my house and say its gd for hiding the laundry poles... LOL Can ask uncle to design for u the cabinets to hide the big pipes. He did that for us too! We were just as clueless then!
  13. Uncle switches off his hp on sundays.. his rest day. anyway, back to ur 1st post on budget, i believe u shd be able to fit in 2 toilets+kitchen overhaul <$15k.
  14. Mimi Yaya, i think box up of those big big pipes or straight lined pipes is ok. As long as its not behind concrete and tiles. I think its becos those bathroom pipes got a lot of twist and joints so there's a higher chance of leakage? pinkpetter u not at work ah? How come can online at this hour? poseidon_gal U mean the false wall? Its 5.5ft tall. My tv is also not wall mounted leh, its resting on the tv console. i tot for wall mounted TV will need a taller wall? growler Eh, mine cannot 'open' one leh. Its just normal boxup. So anything wrong, i'll just have to hack it away. Big sewage pipes dun leak that easily ba?
  15. haha! so good! i'm the one cleaning the toilets (i love to wash toilets cos can play with water ). since its away from shower area shd be pretty safe from all the mould. Gd choice!
  16. to all that's concern with the glass top, it is removable. I didnt specify my shoe cabinet to have a glass top so on 1st installation, the carpenter only came with the cabinet. Then i whine a bit and ask uncle to throw in, the carpenter made some measurements and went back to 'cut' a piece of glass to lay on top for me. So when we need to wipe, we can lift up the entire glass piece.
  17. booy i also read somewhere in RT that conceal water pipe is ok. But somehow Ah soon didnt wanted to do it for u. Anyway its not that ugly also lah, not much diff except for 2 vertical pipes at the shower area. i think conceal pipes also has its cons ba? If water pipe burst or leak then super jialat liao. My water pressure is huge, already spoiled 2 bidet spray and flexible pipes. Mimi Hi Mimi! Thanks! The 'brown' toilet u mention is actually grey, but somehow under different lighting it chges color The barang2 chair was a display set, i got it during their warehouse sale for $350. Its still selling in the shops, recent promo was 40% off original price of $780. I'm not too sure if the promo is still on or not thou... Yup, i've used Ah soon too! Gd price with reasonably gd workmanship. The problem with him is he's too busy and forgetful at times, so he needs constant reminders. i'll send u a PM with more reviews.
  18. u all sounded so scary... i quickly remove them from the cabinet already. Now left with tissue paper and facial cotton pads. shd be ok ba? Ya, uncle is really very easy going. And fatherly too! But he's really forgetful. I try to post it up this wkend. Its not conceal piping, my contractor says its not HDB approve, but i read somewhere that its legal. Anyway my tiles were already up so i didnt wanted him to hack away. Its not messy, very neatly done despite not concealed. i use instant gas heater, the Rinnai one. not the typical electrical heater. Ur contractor is right that the normal instant heater cannot be use cos it will not be able to support the water pressure required by the rain shower. I'll post the heater for u when i get home
  19. I googled and found this, is this the one? 100E Pasir Panjang Road #01-03 Century Warehouse Singapore 118521 Tel : +65 6377 1796 Fax : +65 6276 7988 Btw hor.. if u dun mind, can i know how much did u pay for it?
  20. VERY tall building! So scary, i've got phobia for heights. but it looks very nice on the exterior. Is the swimming pool behind?
  21. very nice common toilet tiles! n i think we all have the same MBR tiles as well. Does it take a lot to clean the common toilet wall tiles with all the uneven surfaces?
  22. i think i'm a little late, but anyway.. welcome jamie! I was at the panel of windows u have for living room. LONG!!!
  23. a little OT from all the rings discussion, but i have to say ur MBR toilet tiles r really chio! It has the blink blink effect right? u so cute... "有事没事 go squat in the toilet and stare at the wall"... haha! I would love to go n see ur toilet too if not for the distance!
