well, my mum made us wash our own clothes as punishment if we were naughty (during sec sch days). And HAND wash like her! Basically my washer is used to spin dry clothes. Jeans was just part of it, she handwashes everything, including bedsheets n blankets! No wonder my clothes rarely spoil. Hmm...

I did my wardrobe with CD and ah soon himself say its worth the $. He will be able to do similar, but not exact. And becos CD specialises in wardrobe, their cost price is cheaper which ah soon finds it hard to match exactly in terms of the internal laminates and the soft closing bi-fold doors.

Groutings is the lines between the tiles. Usually by default they will do white, but we asked for gray groutings for our gray floor tiles which same ended up super dark while the rest r lighter gray. I was also very lucky that hub went back home during lunch n found the plumber going to install the toilet stuff. They nvr pre-empt us or asked in advance where we wanna place our stuff. my common toilet sink almost went into MBR becos the plumber say "Jason says its nicer" *faintz*!!!!

Bedok to Jurong..... :jawdrop: I'm sick of going up everyday to inspect despite mine is only 15mins walk... They will do a lot of rounds of cleaning. I think this round of cleaning is clearing the debris from tiling and sweeping/polishing the floor. Carpentry got a lot of dust flying ard, after that another few rounds of cleaning, then touch up again. Take note of all the electrical work/paint work/tile work to be rectify hor. I was a bit slow in realising my grouting in kitchen floor is a bit uneven, tmr Jason will gather the worker to re-do all the groutings. oh, n try to walk barefoot to feel the tiles for any cutting edges.

i dun like the idea of cleaning a pendant light, sadly. Think shd just find those standing lights with warm color to feel up that missing mood! ya, ah soon got 2 numbers. the other one starting with 8xxx always cannot find him. So he say just call the one starting with 9xxx. rembr to call 1hr b4hand! try to pick all little shades for ur tiles if u want it to look bigger? I realise my MBR toilet looks smaller than b4 with my grey tiles, but i love the spa feeling.. haha! Anyway, bases.. not necessary if u do suspended cabinet, like wat ivy said. i did w/o the fridge base, didnt wanna restrict myself to limited sizes shd i need to chge fridge next time. Washer base i did, cos my service balcony got mini windows at the bottom. Just now went back and saw a mini flood after the rain there becos workers didnt close the windows, so the bases to protect the washer's legs seem a gd choice back then.

Saw the jotun and lots of smaller ICI tins when i went up to my house just now, they were left there by the workers cos my house still pending some touch ups. i accidentally dirtied my wall w my ladder, so took a wet tissue and wipe the walls, dirt went off and the wet patch dried up after a while. I didnt specifically picked easy-clean paint, i went along with colors that matches my theme rather, so i have no idea if that was easy wash. As for Nippon or ICI, quotation was Nippon, but i specifically told jason i wanted ICI. i have personal copies of both Nippon and ICI books, so had already been choosing my colors long b4 we came to the paint picking period.

:notti: thks!! i have my fair share of IDs/contractors telling me they will help me save money, but came back with ridiculously high quotes. My initial plan of overhauling only 1 toilet n chge kitchen base/cabinet cost me $28k from one super hardselling ID! its crazy. my gate was no more than $400 i think. i'll drop this $29k guy off my list if i were u. i think for a 3rm, ah soon shd be able to complete even <$21k. Have u tried calling his other num that starts with 9xxx?

i did white. I love every single piece of furniture to be white! I read somewhere dust n dirt on black is very obvious, plus scratch marks very visible. White is tough when it gets stained. But my coll taught me to use Cif to clean, tried last wkend and it really works!

ur MBR looks so cozy! i'm regretting not doing false ceiling in MBR liao..
