My reno's officially ended on Good Friday 10th Apr!!! A little lost now without having to chase after Ah soon. But i'll still go after Jason cos i'm pending 2 small patches to touch up. Spent the entire day cleaning up the house, then uncle soon came to settle the final bill. We paid him 1 shot all the balance, he didnt even add a single cent for electrical points, but instead.. we deducted $500 from total bill for my shorten TV console in MBR. So all in all $20900 for my house makeover. I really got nothing to say abt this uncle. Hub wanted him to quote for repainting of his present house's living room for our wedding. Uncle didn't wanted to charge a single cent. N when we insisted that we have to pay him, he said "if u wanna pay then u dun ask me to paint." What else can we say?? ... :bow:

Yalar.. the $$ is a little turn off. But i rather pay a bit more for the sake of my safety! I no need to do housework now ah. My mum does all the housework, n i've got phobia for heights. yes. I suspected the lawyer letters were from Courts, n probably their other marital issues. Then again, i dunno wat to say abt a bill <$100 n Courts had to stick the notice at my gate. its only $80+ if i'm not wrong. Weird seller i have. Surprisingly, both of them were ur fellow colleagues. i know what u mean. Why do they have to allow u to bring contractors up only given that u fulfill their condition? I feel weird on hearing this. If u r really uncomfortable w the arrangement, just get ur agent to represent u to speak to the sellers. Tell them u have a tight schedule too. What's more ur big day only 3mths away!! My seller's wife asked for early completion, then when the date comes the hub refuses to shift, wanna delay for 1 more wk. End up still complain we nvr give him ample notice to shift his things. Well, his wife was the one that requested early completion so he shd have already looked for a place long ago! so wat if they do not stay together anymore, its not my problem!

Day 42. Final day of reno. (unofficial handover) Took the aftn off and stay at my new house to watch them finish every single thing i listed for rectification. Otherwise they may just miss this, miss that again. Jason came alone with Ah Boy (my hub insist that his name is botak..?) to chge all the grouting in my kitchen. Patches of plastering/painting also completed under Ah boy's very professional and patient care. I really think he's a rare Bangla that's worth giving 2 thumbs up :good: He covers EVERYTHING from grouting to cleaning to plastering/painting. Even managed to clean off my super yellow stained window grills. But alas, they left, and i found another patch of small paint problem on my wall. Sian. Shall wait for them to deliver the remaining items then i'll get them to touch up. Ok, for those who had PM me for more pics on the laundry system.. here goes: Step 1: Pull down from ceiling using the provided hook. Step 2: Push the most inner bar out. Step 3: push the whole system out (notice the arms/bars of the system is now pushed out as well) There u have, the whole system out of the windows.

i heard was something like Ah soon telling them they only put in 70% effort to do things, that's why always a lot of touch up to do. Then the painters told ah soon "ok lor, then u do lor." And straight away ah soon told them to 'take a rest' liao. I nvr complain them to ah soon, but i think he saw it for himself when he came to my house. I paid for plastering, but they nvr plaster the grove abv the skirtings for WHOLE house. Painting was so so, only after touch up was much better.
