The solar film thing was done by another uncle that my contractor recommended. I think they may have used some liquid thingy to remove the 'leftover' from prev film and i saw it dripping onto the wall. That time painting not up yet, so we didnt bother too much abt those wet patches. But seems like its surfacing again... gotta ask my contractor how liao. move in b4 18th?? But 18th is like this sat leh! how to shift in like that? would suggest u wait a bit ba, else workers come in n out to do rectifications, not very convenient for u all also right? the rain shower is from Bellari @ $429 for the complete set, mixer+handshower+overhead shower. I'm so proud to be the 1st one to use it (i hope the workers didnt use it b4 me!) after cleaning my house last fri! Not too bad, i found it easy to use cos i have a habit of tilting my hair down when i wash. If i'm taking a quick shower then i'll use the handshower so my hair wun be wet. Its like a novelty for us... something to pamper ourselves after spending so much on other reno stuff.

my hub say those oil patches could have been from the replacing of the solar film? I also dunno leh... Haha! i let go already lah. Gonna bleach my toilet 2nd time again this fri then i'll start using it like an owner! Qingming is such a headache right?? My hub cant wait to shift in as well, but his dad say cannot. haha! now i think i having withdrawal symptoms from reno-no-more. Still pending some paint touch up cos somehow there were oil patches under my window grills. it just keeps appearing MBR toilet.. i give up liao. I'm using bleach to scrub n disinfect b4 i really dare to sit on it. Imagine owner me gotta lay toilet paper on the seat b4 sitting.. i just shrug at the thot some stranger had used my toilet b4. End of the mth becos of... QING MING! :bangwall: i also wished i had. but nothing leh.. gotta patiently wait for my furniture to be in on Fri.

Pasir ris is a nice n quiet place. not so crowded as Tampines! plus a lovely getaway/chillout at the beach. Ur house seems to be maintained well! Even the L-box looks gd enough to keep! How can there be no main door n gate keys? then how ur seller go out everyday? no need to lock meh? Irritating fella... my seller wanted to keep the letterbox key but we insisted no. The whole bundle of keys basically can throw lah, esp those grill keys. Can always get ah soon to chge the grill locks, no need to chge the whole grills. I only got to know when i saw the window guy chop chop finish chging all the locks within 15mins. FOC one!!! To think we spent 1hr+ sorting out all the keys... now i feel stupid.

generally osram n philips are abt the same 'grade', personally i would prefer to get better bulbs cos chging bulbs is a very troublesome thingy. But then again, gd bulbs may also have 1 in 1000 faulty one lah.. I think there r some other weird china brands ard, which i dun have the specific names on hand. I specifically wanted only Osram or Philips.

yaya! i was abt to say that too. Same layout as mine, just that my MBR door has been chge by the 1st owner to face bedroom 2 instead. I placed my 10ft wardrobe in bedroom 2 becos of space constraint in MBR as well!

No no, i haven exceeded yet *fingers crossed*. I still got wedding project next up, cant afford to burst any budget!! But then again... we r trying.. trying REAL hard to control any impulsive buys. Everything i bought was like the cheapest i can find (WC, kitchen sink..etc), i hope they dun give way easily! Uncle dun provide the lights, gotta buy urself. Just for ref, my lights were 2x13W, cost me ard $22 b4 bulk discount. i suggest u all buy urself. i wanted to ask uncle to buy my hob/hood for me, end up he's so busy i didnt manage to get my hob/hood details to him until very very last stage!

when's the handover? and when will u be shifting? I've been sitting on my packing plans, telling myself since i'll be coming home to sleep more often then sleeping at my new place. I'm counting my lucky stars that my mum agreed not to use my room n reserving it for me even after i've shifted out!

not a common door, still have to walk across two rooms cos i'm against hacking the partition becos it will be hard to sell in future. And anyway, there will be a beam there even if i hack. U shd know what i mean... Furnitures will come in this fri! i think ur layout is very suitable to have those fixed cushion seat for the dining table!

i also agree that with the increasing popularity he gets from this forum, he may find it harder to control his workers. Personally, i would recommend those who wanna get Ah soon to buffer more time for rectifications and inspect closely on his worker works. On the overall, Ah soon is quite stringent on the quality that his workers deliver. Any rectifications pointed out, he will also arrange for pple to rectify immediately. I do find 1 crack line (due to poor drilling) in the kitchen cabinet, but from far it is not obvious and I agreed to accept it becos it would be troublesome to tear the whole cabinet down to redo. Must give n take a bit also lah.. just to be fair to Ah Soon for giving such a cheap price. But for drawers cracks n patched holes, he refused to accept and the carpenter had to chge all the 5 drawers for me.

ur kitchen looks like my current one! Really the old sch HDB design. Hahah! I think ur pics really justify the need for a revamp in ur house. The 3D pics looks very very nice.

ya, i would feel the same too. Esp he's so busy and HDB still so troublesome to deal with. I hope he managed to get the permit the next time he goes down! Congrats! its really impt for find a person with the right price and can communicate to do up our precious house!

pple rarely do marble flooring now is becos of the high price tag! that's why usually only see it being used in condos. My mum also reminded me that the marble floor can be very cold during cold mths, she dun really like that part of it after staying in a house >10yrs w marble flooring, but we can always get bathroom slippers mah! Gd luck on ur reno search ya!
