Hihi mackerina, i had the same problem with Tames as well. There were 2 uncles at one of the Expo fair and i was just inquiring abt the system, but there was this super attitude uncle who didnt allow me to even have a second to consider and sarcastically commented if i were truly interested, i dun have to consider so much. Gave me the look as if i'm fooling ard n wasting his time.

i mean the drawers. My 6ft console comes w 2 'layer', 1 is opened and the other is with 3 drawers. i wished i had opted for glass or rmetallic laminates when they did the console. glass panel still can use remote control w/o opening the panel? I think it also depends on the controller u using ba? E.g, some of my controllers point anywhere also can control, while some must point directly at the appliances.

it was just pure solid wood, with a glass top on the surface. That's for living rm console. Somehow i would prefer something reflective like pinkpetter's from S&C, some reflective metallic surfaces for the drawings. But then my hub says its nice. So its nice ba? The drawers were more for keeping stuff not hiding the consoles. My MBR TV console is a cabinet cum TV storage. So the TV is hidden inside the cabinet when i'm not using it. Also pure wood.

confirm its paint everything. They took the initiative to paint the pipe in my toilet, and also the water pipes leading to my gas heater.

We had the same reservations abt doing our kitchen too! Wanted to keep the floor tiles n just hack the bases and cabinets, but eventually chged everything.. like u said, will be a headache in future if we decide to chge the flooring. Most imptly, so long as within ur budget, just do it!

Ya, i also thinking of the romantic feel that roller blinds wun bring. Bring to laundry must spend more $$, i think i'm too stingy to do that. Will have to close 2 eyes instead and keep it to half a yr wash. R blinds cheaper or curtains cheaper, any idea? Eh!! i also tell my mum i wun help her and she better dun complain! Hihi, my 2 cents worth: 3. Wanted to have aircon in the living area. But we will not use often...so wondering if we should go ahead. - initially our want-list as well, but in the end was glad we didnt go ahead (due to budget constraint). Thinking that if its really hot, will just hide inside the MBR where there's aircon. 7. i wanted a bar top counter at the kicthen entrance, so we can just have meals there. But hubby say a dining table is more appropriate. - depends on ur dining habits? I did away with dining table for the moment n bought a brkfast table from ikea for time being. We like to dine in front of the TV so most prob will spend my meals on my coffee table instead. But a dining table is certainly more appropriate if u will be having guest quite often. 8. this is a resale unit. wondering if we shld overlay the tiles of the kitchen and toilet or should we hack then tile. - It depends also on the tiles of ur living room. if u overlay kitchen, and happens that kitchen n living room floor is leveled, then kitchen tiles will be one step higher after overlaying? I would prefer to hack, a little more assuring that the tiles below wun 'pop'.

YES! Expect Every single door and drawer to be anti-slam. Initially i tot was only for kitchen. But turned out that both my TV consoles, my shoe cabinet.. all with anti-slam. Friends who came over were too impressed and kept playing with ALL my doors and drawers. Same same lah, i think oldies will always wanna have certain things to be done their way to have their peace of mind. U r not alone. i think better not to stay in the house ba, its gonna be REALLY dusty, esp when u have hacking going on. Till now i'm still feeling that my floor very dusty despite cleaning and vacuuming so many times. I think i'm paranoid... We were surprised by that too! Seek his opinion how long he thinks our cabinet shd be, afterall i dun cook (and dunno how to cook too) so i'm like a newbie when comes to kitchen planning. In order to box up my pipe, had to do 14ft instead of 11ft, and these were even b4 i signed the quotation!
