I think must see if you want to take fixed rate or variable rate. Different calculations.mine is fixed rate based on 5 years. 1) 3.08% x reno amt x 60mths = Interest (Interest + reno amt) divide by 60mths = mthy payment for 60 mths. I think variable rate will fluctuate based on mkt rate. I still think you should seek the expert(bank) for better understanding.

Hi airways07, I took my loan from Rhb, Think the interest for <16K was 3.88%, >16K was 3.22%. But coz I sign up with Plush Living, my ID company got tie in something with rhb, my interest is 3.08%... not bad lah... Actually didn't know, all along thought it's 3.22%, until approved liao, the officer told me about the special 'treatment'. Don't know if other ID firm also have this kind of privillege or not... can ask them.

Hi, I actually split my commision into 3 sections. I spoke to my agent, she's a very nice lady. Coz my 1% is 7k+, include GST, mine was HSR. I told her that I would give 2.5K on the 1st appointment, 3k on the 2nd appointment and because the ex owner stayed another month, I gave my agent the balance after they have shifted out and have cleared any balance amount that ex owner supposed to pay me, eg: Consevancy fees, etc. I heard from my dad that you can actually negotiate the commission nowadays. Then also say why I so obedient, didn't even bargain. 1st time buy ma, don't know anything.

My X-owner had a very damp smell in the walk-in wardobe even though it is not near the toilet at all... but there was a small window that faces the aircon compressor. I think to have a walk-in wardobe, ventilation is very important. My cousin also put WIW next to toilet, she didn't put any toilet door neither WIW door... anyway, she always complain that her clothes damp damp one... Think you can get those ventilation fans, Think KDK always advertise in mags... As for laminates, my mum's house has it. You got to keep it very very dry... or get a long and thick floormat that can absorb water. My mum went to but those ikea round mats and in the end, the laminates start to pop up slowly as it must be kept moist and my silly maid, when wash toilet, got the front area damp and in the long run, I tell you also I think very funny... outside my mum toilet laminates, near the side of the door grow mushrooms... Many times already... My dogs keep sniffing them...

I went last day, very late. I opt for Washing Machine, 9kg, diamond drum coz we need one. We'll get home theatre next time although I heard it's worth around $600+. Think the HT quite good quality one. Think can choose either HT, Fridge, WM, $300 Cash Voucher. So choose WM. I think then should be 610..... haha... both look so similar... It was so shameful for that senior ID, D*n lor... OK, he did come down to the house to have a look. He wrote many things on the floor plan and after a week, I received a phonecall from him asking if I have a softcopy of the floorplan which I don't. Then he told me that he had lost my floorplan and wanted me to give him another copy... Wa Sei.... If even floorplan can lost, how to trust him to do reno leh... ok, nvm he said that he would go down to HDB to get a copy of the floorplan.. ok, I can see the seriousness of it. Alright, here comes the meeting session, he showed us a rough sketch on the floorplan as to how he planned to renovate the house. Haha... what a joke. He placed the wardrobe, which is those pole system kind, at the windows, side by side along the windows in the MBR. Eg: Wardrobe Window Wardrobe. Wardrobe face each other. We feedback that if make like that, the MBR, no wind when sleeping. Totally darkness for the other side where the bed is placed and no ventilation coz the other side no window at all. When we want our theme to be BIG, BRIGHT, FRESH. He replied by saying, you don't have a choice... your house like that means like that. You can't have other ways. I told him I don't think so, like that even rain, clothing will be damp or wet. Doesn't make sense. Then I told him my kitchen need to change some things. In the end, he advice change all, say all can't keep... He doesn't really help his clients to save leh... Actually I ask many other ID, everyone else say can retain some areas. Next when I saw the quotation, they write there, give you this free, that thing free.. all redundant 1... Coz, don't even need. I told him his company very funny, wanna show give free thing but actually give nothing at all. Like that better don't write give this and that.. doesn't make any difference at all. He just laugh. Anyway, I think if you want to consider ID, do source out for more and compare, you'll get cleverer each time. Don't stick to one. Basically, I feel its the person whom you must be able to click with.

Great to see your reno start liao. I also believe in fengshui so that's why good condition kitchen also kena hack. Is your ceiling high.. Seem like higher than normal when I look at the main door.

Like mine too... Actually I find the tiles are quite good condition ya... For me, my house, I don't really like parquet, hard to maintain leh... coz I have 3 Jack Russells, very headache when they just wana get your attention and urinate on the floor... Must always kip dry somemore. except for your toilets, think hack better.. if can save, save lor.... But its personal preference too... Like our toilet we wanna change tile, our mothers.... as in both sides, nag at the both of us. say we anyhow spend money... haha... aiya, "Hack Them".

Aiyo, I really very peifu you both to tolerate such nonsense! Does your MIL know about it? I mean afterall, she did recommend this person to you. Just don't pay, no matter how hard he exerts his words, tell him you want to lodge a complain to CASE about his company. If possible show him all the pictures on the defects that you have taken. Make it big and serious. Actually, if me, I already go CASE complain, don't even need to tell him. You really very cool leh....

My FSM also not bad, in fact he teaches feng shui to feng shui masters. Very patient guy who went through with us everything repeatedly even though we were so blur and him asking same question. His fees are also quite reasonable.

I don't know but I was told by my FSM to sprinkle rice and salt at the 4 corners of each room after my reno. Then before shift house got another day for some procedure like bring stove, cook rice, bring pineapple... Aiya alot of macham...
