Hi. I was at Balestier Point's Lighting.com.sg when I saw that there was a commotion **** Vision. There were a couple of Police Officers who were interviewing a customer and subsequently the staff of the shop. Read a thread that Living Vision had some bad reputaion. Has it gotten so bad that now the Police is involved??? Any buddies know?

THanks alot for the info. To be honest, I went down to OM @ Liang Court again since I was having dinner with my wife there. Again I did not have the intention of buying but was so impressed with the service of the Manager there that in the end, I committed myself to a whole range of living and dining sets. The Manager who personally served me was so nice and friendly that my wife and I warmed up to him like an old friend and we were chatting like old friends. He was not pushy at all and even tell us not to be hurried into making up our minds and even told us to go walk and look around. It was his friendly disposition and quiet confidence in his products that won us over. Thanks

I was at the OM outlet at Liang Court with my wife to be at the advise of our designer. We were told that with our tight budget, we might find something we can fit within our purse strings as compared to rather upmarket boutiques. We were rather impressed by both the range of products and the prices. However we were there just for a look see before getting our designer involved and making a commitment and had made this known to the Salesman whose name we did not get. He graciously backed off and said nicely "do feel free to look around and call me if you need help." To our dismay, another salesman named Michael butted in and though we said the same thing about only looking around, he insisted on using his rather aggressive sales pitch on us saying that that was the last day of promotion...he will give us a good price blah blah. We felt rather suffocated and had to pry ourselves away rather forcefully. It did sour our shopping experience somewhat. However to be fair, the other sales staff in the showroom were rather OK. So maybe this Michael is an exception rather than the norm. Just wanted to make a point that the service of the staff does not necessary reflect the image of the company or brand as a whole.

My sympathies with you. I nearly bought their sofa too for my guest room but didn't like the pushy auntie sales person they have. (Lillian is her name I think) She keeps telling us that she was the top sales person in Barang Barang and that the actress is her daughter etc etc blah blah!!! In hindsight, guess I am lucky I alked away. If not, might suffer the same fate as you!

Yes! I totally agree with what Pebby said. My wife, kid and me went down to the Ubi showroom on Sunday 16 Dec 2008 at about 7.30 pm and was served by Aundruea (as spelled in his card). This was our 3rd time there and in all 3 occassions, we were accorded the same friendly and non pushy service by him. In his own words, he said to us when we couldn't make up our minds the 1st 2 times "the sofa is the most important feature in your new home and it is best to look around if you are not sure. You would not want to buy a sofa which you dislike and eventually makes you feel like not going home!" As mentioned, I was with my kid and Aundruea even helped us entertain our child so that we can chose the color for our sofa in peace. This is certainly a plus point as compred to those shops which frowns upon little children. If i remember correctly, we stayed close or maybe past their closing time and at no time was he rude or impatient for us to leave. In fact when we were leaving at about 8 plus, his colleague came into the shop and both of them showed us nothing but pleasantness. For your information, we bought the Tagliatelle 3 seater in leather and we just like Pebby are happy with the price, product and especially service showered upon us. Kudos to Massimmo.
