To Those Who Do Not Have A Storeroom At Home...
myworld replied to jackng1982's topic in Living, Dining & Storage
kastlekonfusion, i used to live in haunted flat, heard noises on my bed while i am sleeping alone. my hand being pulled, saw black hand on top my head, black marks on my body. that was in yishun. door opened and closed by itself, spooky that is why we moved out. many of my yishun friends encountered such freaking things. when flat is always empty, best not to put beds. throw salt is good to rid off evils, unclean things. i believe every home have spooking things hanging around. -

kastlekonfusion I am not funny. it's real thing, attics, storeroom can invite spooky spirits to live in free. since you live in big apartments, there is no need for a storeroom. some storerooms are huge can be maid's room. -
if i am not that urgent to hack down the storeroom i would have wait and slowly look for cheaper prices. but cheap prices does not mean good workmanship. the work done is not that bad, lines of floor tiles are not that wide. at least i am happier a bit.

mine is stainless steel rubbish chute which costs me $180. after two years, the rubbish chute cannot close probably cos no lock to it. i called the company but already no more. i have to use one metal rod to push tight the chute or crawling insects would love to drop by.

i now have open concept kitchen. oily cooking stuffs not a problem for me since i usually steam or boil food. if want to deep fry, use cover.
-
that's the ugly truth, knife sharpened first and cut throat later.

at last store room is hacked down and renovated with new tiles, very spacious but bill became $2k over.

i bought ikea racks which cost me around $500 to store all the storeroom's rubbish and place it in one of my spare bedroom. since storeroom is too tiny and might invite unclean spirits to live inside dark closed up corner so better i hacked it off. -
i prefer wooden blinds to shade off sunlight cos saves water and electricity to wash it. curtains is not cheap though and fades easily if sun heat is too strong.
-
thru the phone they will quote cheap prices and when saw the storeroom they jump up the prices/. still waiting for approval from hq to get the permit for hacking. this time i paid more expensive than the previous one. 1k plus including hacking, patching up hacked parts, new tiles, haulage, permit.
-
thanks, hope not.
-
already signed with another licenced contractor.
-
just treat it as a lesson to learn. i won't claim the money, small matter.
-
the contractor took my deposit and never apply the permit for me. he wanted to hack down store room before permit was approved by hdb but i stopped him. after checked with hdb, i found out that he is not a licensed contractor. should i make report to police and claim my deposit back?
-
cheap though can message me his hp no?. second contractor quoted me $1250 hacking, patching up and rewiring of the power switch plus permit. i haven't sign with him yet.
-
my kitchen cabinet is only 7 years old and it's wasted to hack down too. the hacking area walls have tiles and will fall off including the living room wall tiles. another contractor will come today and see how first. trying to budget since economy that bad.
-
the contractor came and told me my store room no need PE. but he said better to redo kitchen, living room's flooring as well, he quoted $10k and above. this is the technique of doing business, at first say cheap, later it's not cheap at all.
