I didn't know for private property agent will receive commission from seller only, because a friend of mine who just bought a condo had paid her agent and this relative's friend is prepared to pay an agent fee. Ok, perhaps it's good that the friend can save the money. As for my side, I will have to represent the friend to go for viewings since she's not staying in S'pore and I don't expect to receive any tokens from her for doing the job.

I understand about agents doing all the works while all we do is to give them a call, but if it's base on a $1m (esimated) deal I think $100 is a bit too little right? I hope I don't sound greedy here.

My relative from overseas wants me to help her friend who wants to buy a property. She asks me to help her look for one and she doesn't mind paying agent commission. I'm not a property agent and I believe I can only find the property through an agent, but will they want to pay me? How much will they pay me? I heard it would be more than 20% or 30% of their commission (should be 1% right) but one agent dealing in hdb flats who I tried calling for enquiries (I believe it makes no difference) told me I can only receive a standard amount of $100-$200. Anyone knows about this?

So do you mean as buyers, we do not have to pay any commission to the agent? I'm confused by this because from my past experiences with agents who brought us to viewing, some told us we must pay 2% while some said 1% but none told me I don't need to pay anything although they weren't doing co-broke with another agent.

It's useless telling the agents, they're unable to remove you from the listing. I can understand how annoying it is because I experienced it when I helped my parents to post an ads for their property with my hp number and I'm still receiving enquiry calls after 5 mths. Most of them called to ask me so much questions which I mistaken them as potential buyers but they told me later that they're just updating their data. Data updated very often but I'm still receiving calls from agents?
