Hey guys Anyone has this problem with your toilet: My Common bathroom's flush system seems to be malfunctioning! Either that, or the entire block (at least the vertical column of my unit's sewage system seems to be clogged up.) It's **** disgusting and everytime after we flush (even after holding for more than 5secs) a few minutes later, residual material will resurface in the toilet!!! Ah!! and Joey has moved away. Anyone has the same problem?? Is it my flush not strong enough or the sewage system is clogged up??? 220A here...Unit 50!!

Hi all For those who had read my post about my problematic contractor, he actually had the cheek to come up to my flat today to ask for payment thats outstanding. We showed him the "empty tiles" and he claimed that they will not "pop up". Full of bull****. And now in addition to his tiles, the lighting in my bathroom has also failed. There is 1 piece of faulty tile in every area of my house, living room, MBR, bedrooms even the walkway to the bedrooms! Imagine that. grr! =( Water still tastes weird but he refuses to admit that its his PIPING that caused the problem. Anyone has taken your contractor to court? Or refused payment? And one more thing. The reception here is very poor, esp for mobile phone usage. Anyone has that prob too?? Jovi is moving out on 17th I think. That's what she told us when we asked her. After that, we can go to the HDB branch offices to lodge our complaints but of course it'll be much more troublesome.

Thanks all for the advice. Sigh I dont wish to be mentioning names here but if you guys really want to know who, u can PM me ur contractor's name and I can tell u if its him. Thats all. I wont be spelling out the name here. Anyway he's a church friend and so that makes things even trickier. Biggest problem now is that we have moved in. How to re do tiles??? =( ANd i forgot to add. the 1000+ isnt even enough to redo the flooring!! if we take him to court, we will end up spending more wont we?? And this contractor's "company" functions in a very weird way. He does not have any other worker other than the china man alone and recently, in light of what has happened to my renovations, he sacked the china worker. Now his firm is like himself only?? It's really a very big headache for my family now. Any advice is so appreciated.

hi everyone. havent been here for a long time cos busy with my house's construction works. now there are some serious problems, my contractor let his china man do all the work alone and ended up giving alot of screwed up products. my tilings for example, have wide gaps between them and dirty stains that cannot be washed. some of them are even badly scratched already. we were very unhappy with the contractor and demanded he re do the tiling but in the end we settled for a storerack worth $120 as compensation. there are even more problems. we have our basin constructed at the service balcony under the suggestion of the contractor but now, as we use the water at that basin, it has a very weird and powdery taste, we are thinking could it be the pipe the contractor installed? is erosion possible? anyone can advise? more on my tiles, recently under advice of a friend who was once a contractor, we went about knocking on some of the tiles and to our shock, the sound was a resonating one, indicating hollowness underneath, we ended up knocking on all the floor tiles and found about 5 such pieces. i am still withholding the last payment of thousand plus but other than that, i dunno how these problems can be resolved. is there any advice? and i hope no one else is using my contractor..;(

hi! i got a unit at 220A! just got my keys recently due to some delays but im so glad to have found this thread! just wanna ask, anybody's house here done by this contractor called Mr Sunny? I got him to quote today but have some qualms regarding his credibility because he was previously from another company (he claims) and has set up a company on his own. He has also changed all his contact no.s. has anybody's flat been renovated by him? how do u guys find his work ethic/workmanship. thanks and God Bless!
