The prices at park mall is really astonishing We are looking for tv console with woodgrain finishing but most of the designs now are glossy with stainless steel legs We will try our luck at Evovliving this weekend.

Bronze and silver is the original color where u can see the metal finishing on the surface. Any other color u want can be powder coated onto them at a COST and the finishing will be much smoother This is why HDB windows only comes with those two color. Almost all private properties use powder coat windows... I saw a condo with grey frames with green glass...so envious I guess you have to be prepared to fork out more for the windows if u want them to be in line with your country theme.

The new HDB flats windows are in bronze izzt??? Maybe i shd use bronze which suits my furniture...just worry that it will make the whole place darker.

Thanks for the infor...but I already went to OM showroom on sunday. I saw their ad on newspaper and finally realised what you meant by 'OM Joo Seng'. It seems that they are clearing stock...alot of display sets and I didn't see the TV consoles I saw at their website.

Is it possible to hack just the portion between the electrical box and main door or the portion below the box making the wall look like an arc? Looking at your floorplan, the passageway is wider than the main door so you should be able to fit a shoe cabinet along the wall. Alternatively, custom-made a flatter cabinet whereby the shoes are placed at an angle. I think a floor to ceiling cabinet should hold all your family members shoes unless your mum is like Imelda Marcos...haha

Hi mwerkz, u also change all your windows and grills? How much does it cost u? I find the quote for silver color already very $$$ I find it very difficult to accept silver. I am also abit piss off with my contractor when we discuss about the windows. He almost place order for the windows without consenting me first. Initially, he want to give me matt glass and change the number of window panes. Then this morning , he dropped this bombshell.

My contractor quote me $2460 and $1200 for silver color windows and grill originally...now I want to change to white and he say need to pay additional 1k. Don't know whether to change or not Really don't like silver color windows.

What is the reason that you can't hack the wall? Can you build a floor-to-ceiling shoe cabinet cum divider to 'replace' that wall?

From your original layout, I estimate that the room shd have a width of around 2700-2800mm. The length of a bed is usually about 2000-2100mm. So you can place a small shelf at the end of the bed and place the TV there.

another advantage is that I can switch on the aircon and watch TV (Soccer) in the MBR when the weather is too hot.

It is more practical to have long bath if your toilet is really big like in some private properties where thay have a long bath + seperate shower area.

Your toilet is simple but very nice I also like the main door lock...forget to bring keys also nevermind. Can share how much the lock is and where you got your TV console

This is how I intend to do my MBR toilet initially. But the toilet window is very low, making it difficult to mount mirror. no such worries...my hair forever "pong pong" and I'm short-sighted so you place a big mirror in front I still can't see clearly..haha anyway, I need another TV to avoid any dispute

Thanks, I suppose I'm too laidback (nua)... I saw some of Loyd's design, very daring use of bright colors...especially the kitchen. I like the floor tiles which look like timber strips. Initially wanted to use those for my bedrooms but my budget disallow.

No choice...have to shift toilet door so as to better utilize the area outside. Now I can place a TV and sofa there I don't like to place the TV directly in front of the bed like what most IDs recommanded.
