hmmm i'm not sure what is the size. I remembered it as 600 x 600 but when i saw the tile, it somehow looks bigger than the usual 600 x 600. I'll check with the tilers tomorrow when i go up. I ever toyed with the idea of using 800 x 800, but sales girl told me if my floor area is not big it won't look nice.. so I also not sure whether I ended up ordering 600 x 600 or 800 x800. See??? Gaku i think for your case, whereby you have to travel all the way to east hor, dun be shy, call and call and remind him and emphasize to him that you travelled all the way or u took leave. On days that I really can't afford him to fly aeroplanes i will call him 1-2 hours before appt and remind him and emphasize to him not to be late and he did make it!

usually leak will occur at blower itself. Trunking, if anything were to happen, will probably be sweating, if the insulation used is not thick enough. Leakage fron trunking rarely happen but doesn't mean it dun happen. It depends on how the contractor runs the pipe. If contractor use a lot of small sections and joint together for your pipe and did not seal the joint properly, over the years, expansion and contraction may cause the joint to loosen and that is when leaks will happen.

that looks more like a column then a beam to me. Beam is span across the on top if you know what i mean.

i think fengshui recommendation also states that it is good if you can see who is coming towards you, instead of having people coming in from your back. those are the ba gua think i read about fengshui lah

ahaha bodo, you can go back and assure ur wtb that this is his SOP. I must say uncle is not best at project management but he is best at giving good price and of course he is really nice and he takes pride in his work and to me he is honest. I hv more faith in him than an evil ID that i met 6 years ago. So if you and wtb confirm getting him, do prepare to chip in on the project management part. Like today the tiler saw me told me :" heng ahh yesterday you came, if not we will have used the wrong tiles for the toilet wall." if I pay PM fees to ID and this kinda thing happen, I'll jump! but since I pay lesser, my expectation on that part also lower, so I am ok with self project management.

yah man, you can point out to him one. When he gave me my last quote, I told him wahhh uncle, your quote like stock market. So he laugh and say he cannot remember the last one. He happily just pass me the quote and say :"you take back and amend the figure then give it back to me." So i did, but I very honest hor, for those that he quoted lower the 2nd time I adjusted upwards for him base on the first quote. Cannot makan uncle lah. But after I did that, i still cannot acheive the figure he quoted me... so I gave up... just base on his 1 lump sum quote.

ohh cos the areas to be tiled for me is lesser. where you have the big blum tandem boxes that wall? mine will be full ht cabinets and fridge. so the area to be tiled is only the wall where the toilet entrances are plus the window area and rubbish chute area. u see ahhh ur overall quote is $38K, $2k more than me only but u get 1 huge cabinet at dinning area, 1 study corner and 1 more wardobe more than me leh. Are u using laminates for ur bedroom or tiles? I forgot already. my bedrooms using laminate flooring. So u see?? for $2K more u get alot more things. uncle is fair de lah. hahahah

ohh if anyone is interested to know, uncle just confess that usually he will be around clementi area at 9+am. Look out for the green van! The cabinet really doesn't look that bad.
