I initially wanted that but when I sit on it to try I realise the seat is very narrow and uncomfortable... somemore I can be considered small built. Did you sit on it to try??

Does the window looks tinted to you?? To me it doesnt leh... I went up again after work and found that they had fixed up the windows. Ah Hock says it is tinted... but it looks totally clear to me... I am expecting to see darker glass more towards the blackish kind... Ah Hock says from inside look out it will look clear but from outside looks in it will looks tinted.... I went downstairs and crane my neck, trying to see, and it does looks tinted to me from outside. I'm not quite sure as I can't see clearly... wondering whether it is due to the sunset. Told Ah Hock I will go and see the windows again when the sky is brighter and decide... WENDY!! Maybe hor u can take a peek for me from your unit to see whether it looks dark from outside or not??

i mean the original one without the photoshop effect. cos at least i dun see clouds and water and birds and dunno what's not. at first i couldn't tell the difference, after u tell me u photoshopped then i realise got difference. You see lah... that's what happen when I dunno how to appreciate art.... i am doing this for fengshui...

The more they do the more they earn mah. good luck in ur ID/Contractor search. The advantages abt ID is you no need to crack ur head to think of design and layout, unless u very sway kanna the kind of ID poor Lawry had. The advantage of contractor is their good pricing but then design wise, we will need ot do alot of homework.

my kitchen entrance is the same as Wendy's but my glass door will be right at the entrance. I am not going for wet and dry since I don't really use the kitchen much. Just make it simple. hahah

The total cost of hacking plus disposal plus patching up is $3+K in your quote. i wonder why they charge u for patching up after hacking.. Uncle Ah soon quote me hacking/clearing debris/make good/dismantle cabinets etc at a lump sum price of $2500. But my hacking exclude 3 bedroom floors since I am laying laminates for the floor He changed my MBR entrance (sealed up exisitng and hack new entrance) FOC. For $3200, ah soon tiled my living/dining/storeroom with skirting. I chose a $3.20 600x600 homo tiles kitchen floor same price but he let me use 300 x 600 tiles. plastering at $1600 (exclude kitchen) I think if i am not wrong the carpentry quote is quite ok if it is coming from ID, only slightly above ah soon's price. yours is 5 room or 4 room?

How thick should wall skirting be? I think the tilers made mine too fat. When I look at it, I can't help but feel that the thickness is very "outstanding" I use my finger to measure then came back to office to use ruler to measure my finger, wahhh the thickness is about 2.5cm leh. (the slanted length on top). I asked the tiler, he told me it's bcos my walls are not even and the walls are not plastered yet. He says after plastering, it'll look slimmer cos the plaster will be of certain thickness. Not sure whether they are smoking me or not, plastering of wall got so thick meh? Anyway I called to feedback to uncle, told him they made my skirting "bui bui". He said he'll go up and take a look later. Do you think it looks thick?

Just got back from my Mid Day check. Today the tilers are suppose to put up the kitchen wall tiles and complete the tiling works by end of the day. Unfortunately, by mid day the wall tiles are still not delivered. The tilers told me they almost fall asleep waiting for the tiles. They've completed my front foyer tiling. Here is a peek at how the tiles look like : As the place cardboards on the tiles to protect the tiles, thus I only manage to take a corner of the whole tiling job. Let's hope that the wall tiles arrive soon and not waste the workers' time.

hahah so you are another bling bling person!! I initally wanted crystal lightings for living room and dining room and when we hunt around aiyoh those that i like are betwwen 600-1000!! MY god..... After much nagging from hubby I've came back down to earth with no crystal lightings except for 1 tiny one right at the entrance... living and dining will just have downlights lor.... hubby keeps saying cleaning those crystal lights will be a madness.. which is also true lah... u shifting in this sat right?
