ohh no wonder uncle say can start my tiling tomorrow... I was pretty puzzled at first cos I thought mine will start next week... Tell HDB you are paying rental of warehouse, the longer they delay the more they have to pay and tell them you wanna claim from them!

Uncle Soon was ambushed by me! I "caught" him at my place unexpectedly just now. On my way back I spyed a dark green van parked at one corner of the carpark and thought that van looks familiar. Thus after parking my car, I half pulled half dragged my slow couch boy up to our unit and bingo! got uncle! He was surprised to see me! hahaha I told him I saw his van so I guessed he must be up there. He joked that next time he'll park far far away so that I cannot catch him...... I got a pleasant surprise up at the unit. I thought there will be nothing done until Fannie's tiling is up. That was the impression I got. To my surprise, my walls are hacked and my tiles were delivered already. Uncle say since I'm there, might as well go through the tiles. So we did. My boy squatted right next to the pile of sand thinking that he can start building sandcastle in the house lor. Been a long time since his last visit to the beach. All my tiles My enlarged kitchen entrance which will be glassed up. MBR toilet entrance. On the right is the old entrance, which will be sealed. On the left is the nearly created entrance. Uncle say my tiling work will start tomorrow!! Yippeeee!!!

hmmm using the track with uncle's own drawers sounds like a good idea... can save some money too. Will show the man the drawers, keeping my fingers cross that it'll work FAnnie, you getting the Blum drawers or tracks with uncle's own drawers?

wahhh not cheap hor 1 drawer $90+... will have to negotiate with uncle soon liao. The man at my house won't have a clue by i need to install $90 drawer. To him so long as things can put in there can liao.. He dun really care if retrieval of items are difficult..

my tiling will come after fannie's since uncle say he is using the same group of people for us.

i am fortunate that my work place is just a 5 mins drive to my new place. I've planned to go down daily during lunch time to watch over the what they are doing when my tiling work starts. Seems like they ain't good records on owners requirement on their part. I think need to feedback to uncle Ah Soon. in my case I wanted black window frames and they fixed up white. I thought white looks quite nice so I think i'll take it.

My opinion is don't accept. Anything defective should be made good, especially this is not something that is irreversible. Uncle may be nice and we did get good price, that doesn't mean we should accept defective things. I am sure uncle will get the carpentry guys to change it if he comes to know about this.

aubrey if u wanna symoblic hack must choose a good date. I just updated over at my T-blog for my status. They only started hacking yesterday afternoon. Today still doing but window frame is up.. so 奇怪... and it is just the frame hor.. no windows.. Gaku.. don't be disapointed. I think this whole thing is very frustrating to you. Just in case he can't get it ready in time, it is good to hunt around for storage places. Ask uncle to help lah! See whether he able to spare u some storage place somewhere. I pop by my place at about 4pm earlier on. All the things that worked together to "conned" us into paying $22K COV has been reduced to this : I was kind of surprise to realise that the window contractor is actually fixing up my new window frames at such an early stage. The problem is they are fixing white frames when I clearly remembered telling uncle I wanted black... Initially I wanted white but uncle told me white will turn yellowish over time, that's why I told him in that case I'll take black. I wonder whether he mixed up the info or not.. I tried calling him up he did not pick up... probably holiday mood le... I think black suits my overall theme better.. but white has a clean and refreshing feel.... now I am torn... Black or white?? Should I insist uncle to change it back to black? or accept the white? Also, I've not chosen the window glass colour and the contractor assure me that they will just be fixing up the frames.. Now that I am back in office, I'm thinking without the windows, what if the next few days it starts pouring, how?? won't my unit be flooded?? I miss out choosing the tile for my recess area... went back to LSH last week and chose the following..

mine i think will be about 3ft. my dad wanted me to do 5 ft lor!! but cannot lah.. u see whether smallboy place their display and study table? the display cabinet is how i gonna place my alter with it facing the window. if i do 5 ft it will block out alot of lights.
